MDPV feels pretty shitty to me though, jittery and disproportionally peripheral. I have enough laying around but I haven't touched it in ages nor will I ever again. a-PPP is about the same only a tad better.
Tried enough weird/rare stims but never amphetamine, only 5-10 mg dextro-amph which was absolutely great or at least helpful and hardly crash-y at that dose.
Now I acquired 74% amphetamine! Which means it is pure if you ignore the HCl bit. awesome!

Well, it is my first trial with MDPV, and so far I like it. Although it's certainly far too early to draw any conclusions.

Amphetamine is my favourite stim by far. Never really liked cocaine, so I doubt MDPV or any other DARIs will be able to top it. Hopefully I'll get my hands on pure dexamphetamine some day - a version of racemic amphetamine with less of the norepinepinergic jitteryness sounds like a godsend! Hopefully, a pure DA releasing agent will be invented some day?

I always though a pure serotonin releaser would be killer as well but as you may know stuff like MBDB is really not ideal. Apparently some kind of balance is preferable.

I bet pure THC is great, I haven't been isomerizing cannabis oil to delta-9-THC because of boredom... but still a friend of mine said he had the absolute best of times when smoking the keef from years of collecting it grinding different strains of bud. The result is a supermixture that has an insane diversity of cannabinoids even though the purity is not off the charts.

Also, if we had specific substrates for every pharmacological action (release/re-uptake inhibition of a specific monoamine, full agonism/antagonism of a specific receptor subtype etc), we could simply combine these substrates to achieve a very custom effect. That would be sweet wouldn't it?

If there's no interaction and we could disect different neurotransmitter agonism and reuptake it would really be nice to compose a tailor made concoction!
With psychedelics though, it would take so many trial runs! Not only are there more than one type of 5-HT receptor but you can activate them in different parts of the brain producing effects related to their different functions there...
Say that would be possible, then radiolabelling and bioassaying would tell us so much about brainfunction! Who knows, maybe it is the future? But then again maybe chemical targeting is just not selective enough because there are limitations to molecular design. Not to mention syntheses.
If research would be more accepted and we could manage this, we could make mixtures that defy the imagination! Or stimulate it :D

Yeah, approaching psychedelics in such a way would definitely be the most complex and challenging issue, but who knows what the future brings. There will always be limitations to the molecular design of simple molecules, but what about peptides? More and more synthesis issues will also be overcome as time progresses. Not to mention advances in biochemistry, pharmacology, SAR etc. Ah, it's an exciting time we live in!

MDPV is a nice enough stimulant if used occasionally... but beware. Tolerance rises faster than lightning of the greased variety, and it can be surprisingly addictive.

I used to get dexedrine scripted back in the days when I had a nasty i.v. stimulant habit - the stuff was next to useless to me then, all it did was stop me falling asleeep - just.

^ What were your usual DOC's then? Speed, coke, meth? Perhaps some people prefer their stims with more of NE activity? Although euphoria is mostly the result of dopaminergic activity AFAIK.

Personally, euphoria is not even the main reason I enjoy the stims so much, other than in social situations. What I desire the most usually is the added focus and motivation. Stims really help me get a lot of things done I would otherwise be too lazy to bother with or concentrate on. Plus, of course, they are awesome for sexual enhancement

The closest thing I've had to amphetamine was methylphenidate (ritalin) in high school. We used to snort those every once in a while, gave a good buzz, but gave me an incredibly depressive crash that involved a lot of nasty, dark, life sucking ideation

I've been curious about adderall, never had it though, not common around here at all. Crystal meth is rather available and in nice, clear shards but I don't have much interest in that stuff.

btw it seems to me most of the stimulants people find more enjoyable raise the levels of dopamine most, but also raise the NE levels a bit. eg.

Phenmetrazine: releases DA & NE

Fencamfamine: releases DA, inhibits reuptake of DA & NE

Ethylamphetamine, ethcathinone, etc. all seem to primarily raise DA levels but also affect NE somewhat.

So what I conclude from this is, that a perfect stimulant would raise the DA levels most, then raise NE levels somewhat, but with minimal effect on SE.
