2 people arrested in Dublin and €200 000 worth of drugs seized.

more of the same info here http://www.independent.ie/irish-new...al-drugs-ring-smashed-by-gardai-30724000.html

“The fact that such a significant vendor has been arrested in the presence of an encrypted but open computer with address lists for customers all over the world will be of significant interest to many global law enforcement agencies who specialise in Darknet investigations,” gardai added.

Just to confirm it says on the vice article about the vendors being locked out are true last night it kept showing an error.

"Silk Road users had reported strange activity on the site for the past 12 hours. Some vendors were reportedly locked out of their accounts, unable to access them at all."

Just a quick reminder to keep this purely about sites which are busted, as active ones will be considered sourcing. (I know this because I got pulled up for it last year when SR1 went down! ;) )

Also, I'm sure I read somewhere that they'd backed up the site to something like 17 locations and that it would be up and running again after 15 minutes if there was ever another bust. I take it that didn't happen then!

Funnily enough today was the first time in ages that i looked on the Forums..

I wonder why, if they had already seized the site they were still letting some vendors and buyers cash out and locking others out :? They locked all the mods out so they couldn't see what was going on.. i wonder who Defcon is then? StExo??

^ dont listen, he's trying to deter you.

Well this is shocking. I felt the sr2 kru had learnt from Ulbrich's mistake and perfected online anonymity. I wonder how they got caught out??

Defcon was Defcon aka the new DPR aka Blake Benthall, reading a mod said to get your coins out last night
Yeah, i just read that.. San Francisco again, weird...

Anyone reckon somebodies gonna go for a 3.0... three being the charm and all :D

Anyone picking up that mantel wants there heads looking at. Stick to the streets kids, its safer out there with the guns, knives, crazies etc.. Postman are the real danger, fuckin psychos..!

Another kid off to spend the rest of his life in jail.. fuckin sad :(

Id say it was human error again, not technology.
An undercover Homeland Security agent was paid $32,189 worth of bitcoin for work the agent did for the site.

It was inevitable, cant just flop your cock around in front of the feds. SR2 come on... it was always going to be made an example of should of rebranded

Their encryption obviously wasn't that good.
computer was open an unlocked.

encryption doesn't mean shit if your physical security is compromised.

you need to be in a room that is fortified that gives you time to encrypt and physically nuke your drives. 12gauge slug and a bunch of thermite is a good way to erase digital records in a hurrry.

Tails running from a USB stick which is attached to your wrist with a strap, so the plug gets pulled as soon as you are parted from the computer.

I think in America you're protected by the Fith Amendmant which basically says you dont have to incriminate yourself by decrypting your drives.. In the Uk though it is seen as contempt of court which will see you banged up for a minimum of 2 years or up to 5 years.. granted thats better than a possible 20 year one..

I think if it were me id go with contempt of court, add that to the draconian sentence for possession with intent for supply which will probably be 10-15 years more than killing someone.. fuck the extra 2 years for contempt of court, at least my encrypted off shore bank details will be safe for my release.. id be in my 50's when i wad released and id go retire in the sun.

I know im pro drugs so biased somewhat but even a Heil reader can see how out of sync our legal system is in these matters.

Is it because the Chancellor hasnt lost out in Income Tax, NI, Vat etc in a drug case where as the serial killer lorry driver has being paying his way, he's probably given some leniency for offing those scummy Tax dodging, Benefit claiming strèet workers 8)

Countries mental...
