Television Shows you just "dont get" or just dislike

I agree that it's deliberately bad...but TV I watch MUST be pretty. I do consider TV an art form of sorts, and there must be beauty in it for me. There is no beauty in SP. So While I may find it entertaining, content wise, I simply can't enjoy it because IT BURNS MY EYES.

I guess it's all subjective. The animation is partly why it's so funny to me.

I think the thing that some of you are not realising is that these shows are funny due to how they fit into your own lives... for example, i know a guy just like peter gryffin from Family Guy, and there's nothing more fun than sitting there laughing while he laughs at something that is true about himself.

Shows like The OC, or the older Melrose Place... these are a release for most people... a way to put themselves in a situation far beyond their ability to reach in reality, and enjoy the fantasy that they can never fulfill.

But the show that I just don't get... the one that makes me say "fkn hell, hi... i didn't realise we were allready living here" was Everybody Hates Raymond, and is now the Ellen Degenerous talk show. I can handle Oprah, but omfg... that bitch is just fucked up in the head! David Letterman would get a mention, but at least there's decent songs coming on at the ad breaks.

Oh, oh... how could I possibly forget Medium... damn that show annoys me, but I think thats more to do with the characters/actors. Then there's Law and Order and CSI... although at least L&O used to be good.

Curb your fuckin' enthasium. If i wanted to feel embarrased and annoyed for half an hour, i'd rather stand naked in a blizzard for half an hour. Irony does not equal humor.

^^I love that show...

I'm sure someone else mentioned this-I didn't read the whole thread-but I do not fucking get "Deal or No Deal. I mean WTF?????

The only hillarious thing about that show is watching people get all worked up about it. One of the bars I work at plays it every Mon night and its so funny to see like 6-10 people screaming "DEAL!! DEAL!!" or "NO DEAL!! NO DEAL!!!"

Other then that-wtf is the point of the show????

I can pretty much say that I fucking hate every American sit-com ever made, with the possible exception of Seinfeld, which I don't mind.

The brash, in your face, hit-you-over-the-head-with-a-sledgehammer "humour" that is typical of the majority of US sitcoms so grating it makes me want to stab out my eyes with a tooth pick. :)

In contrast, the majority of British sitcoms are hilarious. I love how they exploit irony, satire and sarcasm to make their jokes as opposed to the US version of flashing a sign up that says "laugh now". Shows like Red Dwarf, Black Adder and Fawlty Towers tickle my funny bone.

I really don't get the CSI and Law and Order shows. They're just so formilaic and mild. To show I'm not anti-american in my viewing habits, I dig Lost (although it takes itself way too seriously), love South Park, Family Guy, The Simpsons and Futurama. Chappelle's show is also an absolute classic.

"Yesterday, I bought a donut, and the guy behind the counter gave me a receipt for the donut.

Dude . . . you don't gotta give me a receipt for a donut.

I'll give you the money . . .

. . . you give me the donut . . .

. . . end of transaction . . .

. . . we do not have to bring ink and paper into this . . .

. . . I can not image a scenario, in which I would have to prove that I bought that donut . . .

. . . some sceptical friend?

"Don't even act like I didn't get that donut!

I've got the documentation right here . . .

. . . oh shit . . . it's a t home . .

. . . in the file . . .

. . . under "D."

Guess you had to be there. 8)

Intervention & Growing Up Gotti.

Just adding further to the stereotypes....

yuck, too true. so annoyed by the gotti kids

and my super sweet sixteen (sad to say i have seen it)- are there people that watch this and enjoy it? like really wish their lives were like this and wish they had the money too?
or is it all people like me that vomit a bit watching people buy dresses that cost more than my house while people in their own country sleep on concrete and eat out of the trash?

what i dont like about it is how ray is a bad father and husband, and yet he is still lovable? i admit to liking it though, not loving, it just isn't bad. rays dad is pretty funny. the brother is annoying though.

real guidos do a fine job without television shows about them.

Those kids listen to hardcore gangster rap and rock Sean John, Fubu, and a bunch of other hip-hop related clothing. They are not real guidos.

Those bitches on Super Sweet Sixteen should all die. They get all cunty about there parents opting only to spend $50,000 on thier party instead of $70,000 or they cry because they got a Mercedes that was driven once instead of a new one. I have no clue why MTV airs such garbage.

Another show I dont get is The Girls Next Door on E!. I know its about the Playboy Bunnies, Heffs girlfriends and some mansion related bullshit but whats the point?

oh you know which show gets my panties in a wad is some thing on e about some whore and her whore daughter...gastineau(sp?) girls.

Lovelife, first of all. Wow. You sure act like an expert on just about every subject in the world. So you wouldn't hang out with someone just because they don't like Family Guy? That's incredibly shallow and quite sad also. It also says alot about your personality that you felt it was necessary to mention that. Why didn't you just answer the question of the topic? Do you try and go out of your way to put people down, on BLUELIGHT of all places? That is how it would appear...

With that being said let me just say that I like "Hogan Knows Best". There. Let the bashing begin.

Those bitches aren't even entertaining in the way that other people who are famous for absolutely nothing are. :X
