Should people go to jail for necrophilia?

Yet another to put it perhaps; would you like knowing that your dead corpse is going to be fucked? or the body of your grandmother, mother, sister etc etc.

How would such information sit with you given your value set?

To me that is the best way to answer to answer such a question.
 
What if they are your sexual partner before they died? Surely they won't mind me getting one last load away before they are cremated and their ashes stuffed into a teddy bear?

how would you like for some creepy dude to turn your dead nana over and stick it in her ass?how about you?just becuase some1 isnt breathing or beating doesnt give you the right to rape them.If that were the case then I could scan the newspaper for recently decessed and go rob there house.Since they are dead,its not a crime to steal.I cant believe I even responded to this but if this is really pertaining to you,your twisted,need help and if you havent tried it...please dont.Dead rotting flesh is one of the most leathel also.Anthrax is found in necrotizing flesh so if you do it make sure you eat it before you stick it so there will be 1 less sexual preditor for the world to deal with.

That's a fair concession, good point.

Especially in terms of marriage or a de-facto relationship. Not sure if it would be all that enforcable under the Marriage Act though

Anyone that fucks another human being without their consent, whether they they know it or not should definitely go to prison. Or better yet, rot in hell.

A dead human isn't just another slab or meat, vegetable or any other inane object.

Anyone that thinks that it is ok, or even ok for someone else to fuck a dead person without their knowledge has some fucked up values and needs psychiatric help.

If someone requests it before they die, then fine. They consented to sex. If not, then get the fuck out you inbred freak.
 
I don't think it's the same to interfere sexually with a corpse as it is to rape someone, and the law is in agreement with me, as penalties are much harsher for for rape of a living person.

While I wouldn't particularly want someone to sex up my dead body I'd much prefer it to being raped.

A dead person isn't the same as a live person. In anatomy at uni we use the bodies of people who have donated them to science in our pracs. If they were live people I'm pretty sure we'd be arrested.
 
I wonder if the child murders that kill the kid before they rape it get off any easier in prison? I mean, it's only murder followed by masturbation with an inanimate object. *shudder*
 
I think so. Having sex with a corpse is a lesser offence than raping someone who is alive, legally speaking.

A heartbroken Vietnamese widower who wanted a hug from his dead wife dug up her corpse and slept beside it in his bed for five years, reports say.

Le Van was so traumatised by the death of his wife in 2003 that he started sleeping on top of her grave in Quang Nam province in central Vietnam, online newspaper Vietnamnet reports.

Mr Van did that for 20 months until he became so sick of cold weather and rain that he dug a tunnel to his dead wife which allowed him to sleep beside her.

The 55-year-old's children found out about the tunnel and prevented him from visiting the graveyard so, in November 2004, he dug up the corpse and took it home with him.

Mr Van then moulded a figure around the skeleton using clay and dressed the body up in women's clothing and make-up.

The father-of-seven has been sleeping beside it ever since.

Photographs showing Mr Van next to the body were published on Vietnamnet, including one gruesome picture showing the bones of his wife's hand beneath the mould.

"I'm a person that does things differently ... I'm not like normal people," Mr Van was quoted as saying.

I think that's pretty different to a necrophiliac though. He's just someone who is grieving and is trying to process the loss in a fucked up way. He wants his wife, not a dead person. She just happens to be dead now. Very sad, anyway.

Anywho, to address the ZOMG YR SICK concerns...I am well aware that it's not actually right in the head to want to fuck a corpse. It's definitely aberrant behaviour, which I said in the first post of the thread...I just personally question whether it should be seen as something that carries years in jail, rather than say, a course of psychiatric treatment for a person who obviously needs psychiatric help.

And no, I don't have any desire to fuck corpses (hot zombies are another topic ;)), I generally prefer my partners to be a bit warmer and less pustulent. :p

But anyway, for all the people that are wearing their grown-up hats for the discussion, it has made for some interesting reading and thanks for the input! :D

If i worked in a morgue and could get away with it i would.I would use something warm to warm the region of my entry and waa laa nice cream hot red hot pie.

But if i was caught i would expect to go to a mental hospital for treatment rather jail.especially australia.
 
from my understanding, there are three types of necrophiliacs: the type that fuck the dead, the type that will stage and try to live with, and the ones who should most certainly go to prison, the type who neeeed to rip up, or mutilate corpses; they usually dig up graves to do so.

the aforementioned, depending on how the act was conspired and committed; should be in a psychiatric unit of some sort IMO, if they didnt use violence to 'practice' necrophilia. mostly they are in the general population of the prison, trying to llie about why they are there, as long as they are deemed cognitive.
 
Hey - I'm a bereaved person at the moment...

Once someone close to you dies - it's like everything they ever touched turns to gold, people are scrounging for the most trivial objects as memorials of the person gone - so you can imagine what importance bereaved people place on the resting place/remains/the actual body of their loved ones.
I know it's already been stated about the affects such an act would have on the family members - and I guess I am just confirming it. Cos if anyone messed with me late boyfriend's remains I would have their fucking guts for garters!

In my opinion - jail is more that sufficient - and a damn scarey haunting wouldn't hurt either!

i read about a man in france, in the late 1800's, who was obsessed with this 1o-12y/o ballerina girl...

um, this is kind of messed up, so you may not care to know. no images, just a quick summary of a happening in france 120 or something years ago.

he watched her dance for years, and im sorry, i forget the exact details, but he was wealthy and helped her, and her family out to be closer, he had her killed. he payed for the funeral, and a mausoleum to be built for her. i forget how long, but he waited a while, less then a year and went in and had his way. since she was in the mausoleum he was able to obtain access to her more easily, and cover to do w/e he did.


i read about that on a university abnormal psychology department web portal, annnd a few other things, that case example stuck out though.
