Should opiate potentiation techniques be used for HYDROCODONE/VICODIN?

^ A synthetic cannabinoid.

Does anyone find SOMA to potentiate hydro? I've seen some people on here saying it does but I think they are just referring to a synergic effect.... i.e being high on opiates and being more relaxed since soma is a muscle relaxant...

Its synergy. Its almost always synergy (1+1=2); people just use the word potentiation (1+1=10) because they often don't know the difference. Benzos and soma are synergy, the sum of two (or more) CNS depressants. Antihistamine do both, technically. Synergy as they add sedation, and potentiation because they do inhibit the CYP450 enzymes that metabolize most opioids.

But anyway, yes, hydro + soma is a popular (synergistic) combination. I think its nicknamed the "Las Vegas cocktail." ;)

LOL!

"They call it the Las Vegas Cocktail, but you won't find it served at hotel bars or table-side in the casinos. A potent mix of hydrocodone and the muscle relaxer Soma gives the user a heroin-like euphoria without needle marks. It's also one of the most popular recreational drug combinations in the United States."

What the heck, thats VERY strange! I'm going to have to start using my Soma's with hydros from now on and see how well this works... Never really take SOMA anymore.... I know if I take two I usually just pass out...

Soma's are so good for comedowns though

Out of all the ones mentioned I'm sure you'd have the most success from mixing with Soma, thats just my opinion.

^hmmm I didn't think it was one of the most popular drug combos tho

Just as supprised as you are... I need to try this out. I've had my script of soma sitting in the cabinet for a while, havent even used em for a few months

Edit: "And that's only the tip of the iceberg. Six to eight months ago, the "Las Vegas cocktail" was a comparatively harmless blend of OxyContin and Soma, a prescription muscle relaxant. Now it's a combination of Soma, Viagra and Fentanyl--a raspberry-flavored lollipop that delivers a narcotic commonly considered to be 80-100 times more powerful than morphine. Add a little cocaine, and you have a potentially lethal concoction that DeAngelis says will (a) "keep you up all night" and (b) "probably make your heart explode." It was a version of this cocktail mixed with alcohol that led to the recent death of Green Valley Ranch Station executive Michael Tata, widely known for his appearances on the reality television show "American Casino."

VERY strange mix if you ask me... I could see SOMA and fent. But then VIAGRA? lol, well its vegas, I guess its expected..

Don't believe everything you read. I mean, sure, its a pretty good combination. Apparently its even popular enough to warrant its own name. Just don't get your hopes too high. Its just hydrocodone + carisoprodol, after all. :D

"Most popular" according to opioids.com - take that with a grain of salt, you know?

[All that said, carisoprodol does complement the opiate high well for most people.]

Yeah I feel you. I just never heard it was a very popular mix before and have never really tried it. I'll try it out , prob start slow as SOMA usually gives me a very drunk feeling. Im not sure why its unscheduled 8) . If I poped 3 or 4 of those suckers ( with no tolerance ) there is no WAY i could drive, etc. I could take a ton of opiates and function normally even after a long period of being clean. SOMA tolerance builds like crazy though, you can start small and end up popping em like candy , literally...

^ Yeah, soma is a retarded drug. When I get my script, 1 relaxes my back, 2 turns me to jello. Then after a few days of taking them, I can't feel a thing, even if I were to take 10 at once [bad idea; don't do this].

Hell yeah soma is the only thing that potentiates opiates to me, although most people call soma+opiates a combo. I enjoy opiates mixed with soma and either THC or jwh-073 alot more then by themselves.
alot of people i know refer to it as a "soma coma" but imo i dont do them cuz i kno a few that have died on that exact combo:(

First of all, I am aware that benzos are not potentiators of opiates, but the right benzo can provide some pleasant synergy.... I agree that the typical benzo's (in the US) like alpraz, loraz, valium, klonopoin do not enhance the effects of hydrocodone.

But... I have had some suprisingly good results using temazepam (Restoril) with norcos.
Anyone else ever notice this?

Soma, hydroxyzine, a benzo, and an opiate is NOT ADVISABLE from a harm reduction standpoint.

That being said, it's basically the holy quadfecta of downers; Nod City.
