It's been almost a year now since I started taking MDMA, or in reality probably Methylone, with moderate use with a least a month or longer in between uses. I've really gotten into Electronic music and raves starting 2 years ago, and my roommate went to one with some friends and I a few months ago. He wanted to do MDMA for the first time, so I gave him two caps of 100mg to use over 2hrs. Long story short, he ended up not rolling at all because of an SSRI he takes for his OCD condition, which we later discovered. I ended up getting a test kit and found out the stuff I got was Methylone anyway. He's still determined to stop taking his SSRI for a week or two to roll eventually though, and after thinking about it I don't know if it's such a good idea.
My roommate has some big OCD/anxiety issues that he has gone to a group program to help fix. When his mother and him first signed the lease a year ago, he disappeared/isolated himself completely due to the program that he attended. I was worried for him and constantly tried to talk to him, but his mother said it was a personal thing for him to tell me when the time was right. 7 months passed and he popped up again and finally moved in and explained to me his situation. He seems to have learned some good things through the program, and I don't notice him distraught or any abnormal behavior. He also takes multiple prescriptions, one being Zoloft (SSRI), another being Ritalin, along with some other stuff. He smokes weed all the time on top of that, which actually stimulates him to a great degree, probably because of the other prescription drugs.
Anyway, what I've been concerned about is if he should try MDMA or not. Previously I was all for him trying it, but I don't know how it'll affect him due to his different body chemistry along with the prescription drugs he takes. He is not on any MAOI's, I double checked that after finding out they were deadly with MDMA, but I'm still cautious. Ultimately it is his choice to do it or not, but I want to let him know any heightened risk he is taking, if there is one. On that note, do you think my roommate should/should not try MDMA? Why or why not?
Since getting fed up with all the Methylone, even though I enjoy it, I acquired a new reputable source and also used a test kit on the MDMA. So the drug itself or purity is fine.
