Shot in an artery, I think

IForgett said:
^ yeah i think im freaking out over nothing. Ive had rare occasions where the blood from my vein that i was 100% sure I was in be bright red. The only thing that freaks me out about this was how fast it spurted into the syringe. The thing is, im not used to get registers like that anymore. When I first started to shoot, everytime I registered it was like that, but now i just get a little bit of blood show up at the bottom of the barrel, but thats because my veins suck. So, I think I just got a really good hit and it scared me because that never happens like that anymore.
I guess it was a really good hit. :)
What really matters is if you're ok now.

Thanks for the replies hfrs and narutokun. Im pretty sure it was just a really good hit on a vein. It wasnt hard to depress the plunger, and im pretty sure it wasnt just irritation of the vein that burnt. Ive felt that burn before and its much different (to me) than the burn diphenhydramine causes. I dont use a tourniquet so I know that had nothing to do with it. I got effects from the combo, which I know wont happen if you hit an artery, and there was really no other symptoms of hitting an artery. Thanks for all the help, everyone. I feel a lot better about it now.

Sorry, I've not read all the replies, but to the original poster:
what's good with IV Diphenhydramine is that you can be sure if you shot in an artery or not.
Cause shooting Diphenhydramine in an artery is like THE WORSE PAIN EVER.

If you shot 25mg-50mg Diphen in an artery, your arm started hurting really bad, your hand started to burn like hell, you may have started crying from the pain and rolling on the floor because of the pain.

If you didn't feel HARDCORE pain, you didn't shoot in an artery.

-

If you felt hardcore pain, you shot in an artery, so then listen to me:
-your hand will swell a lot
-you have to seek some medical help immediatly (the few times I nearly got amputated, and the time I almost got gengrene were all because of shooting in an artery, not because of missed shots. Shooting in an artery is the worse that can happen to you when you're shooting pills)

-----------------------

Now about differentiating arteries from veins:
-the blood from some arteries is darker than the blood of some veins; the brightness of the blood is no way to determine if it's an artery or not
-the blood from some veins jumps in the syringe harder and stronger than the blood of some arteries; so the pressure of the blood is no sure way to determine if it's an artery or not

Only things that's sure is that Diphenhydramine burns like hell (it makes you cry from the pain) when you shoot it in an artery. So if you prepare with Diphen, when you register, always shoot only a few units, and wait, if it burns like hell in the hand, find another spot.

The times i've done it I used injectable ampouls. But i'm sure most people don't have access to theese and just put the powder from the capsules into a solution.

Be very careful trying to use the caps of powder! Most of that is garbage you do NOT want in your veins.. microcrystalline celllulose, etc.

JC saves the day for me, yet again. Thanks man. It didnt hurt like hell. Just the typical burn we discussed before. My hand didnt swell either, so I feel good in that I didnt hit an artery.

Thanks to everyone.

Yea which is really confusing the fuck out of me. So many people talk about injecting diphenhydramine here as if everyone does it like sipping tea or something! Driving me crazy! Jasoncrest, how are you injecting diphen?

And someone said they inject diphenhydramine from benadryl capsules. I know what you're talking about, I prefer those to the tablets since they hit quicker and aren't released over time, but like, why would you do that?????

^ I use sleepinal (USA brand). Its 50mg diphenhydramine in a capsule. Its better than benadryl caps or any off-brand (walgreens, cvs, etc.) caps. Its definitley a lot better than the little pink benadryl pills.

What do you mean why would you do that? Why would anyone do half the things they do? It just helps intensify the bupe. Its better than bupe on its own, and I mean, if youre gonna inject suboxone in the first place, its not gonna be any worse adding the diphenhydramine to it.

Also, I dont think "so many" people are doing it, its more like so many threads are popping up about it, making it seem like a lot of people are doing it. I dont know of very many, but for all I know there could be a lot.

I honestly need to stop doing. Im very aware of how bad it is to do, but its the only way I can get anything slightly recreational out of my bupe.

Yea but why not eat the pills. It's not like diphenhydramine has a rush and it doesn't actually have any pleasurable effects on it's own...

I always take a couple to a handful of benadryl before I shoot up, but that's only to reduce side effects and as a sleep aid if I desperately need it. Do see what you're doing, with the whole bupe issue going on. Just strange to hear that you're injecting pills, and not like opiate pills, but an OTC one of all things. Don't see why you, or anyone who shoots diphen doesn't just eat them?

Or maybe snort them? Personally I hate snorting, I think it's the worst MOA of all, but I don't think many people are as adverse to snorting as I am...

shooting diphenhyrdramine is deadly. You WILL know if you hit an artery, the pressure inside an artery is enough to blow the plunger out of the barrel. don't fuck with yer arteries, they can crack

It actually does have a rush in combination with Bupe. And yeah it sucks on its own, thats why Im never gonna shoot it on its own again. Eating works too, just not as good as IV when combined with bupe.

I've hit my artery a few times, once quite badly and trust me you will know - it will burn, the area swells up and you will get a throbbing in your head and you will feel real hot like a hot flush all of a sudden and it hits in seconds as fast as a vein and that is with a small amount . It would be next to impossible to get a large amount in unless it was shot in superquick and i'd hate to be on the receiving end of that. On the worst occasion, i got a tenth of a ml in and my whole arm swelled up to twice the size and was covered in lumps (from the citric used in Europe, I believe as you get the same with veins but in localised area sometimes) and my head was throbbing like hell, it was soooo painful that my body chucked itself across the room in pain. Sometimes, the force of arterial blood is soo strong that it will push the plunger out.

Normally, all is well and back to normal in two hours but if you're unsure as to whether you're in a vein or not, just push a tiny amount in and wait 5 seconds or so, you'll know...

Injecting Diphenhydramine WITH an Opiate gives an incredibly strong rush.
And it also gives pleasurable effects in combination with an opiate (again, when shot in the same rig).

You never shot Diphenhydramine with an Opiate, i can see that from what you just said here.

(You asked me how I shoot my Diphen, well, I just use pills. I prepare them like any other pill....)
