I'm slowly sipping on a tumbler full of Raspberry Absolut wodka, a splash of diet lemonade and loads of ice. My favourite drink. :D
This is the first time I've drunk anything alcoholic alone in years and years.. let alone in front of a computer.

Hey UnSquare! What is Chartreuse like? I was recommeded to get some a long time ago and found some in a bottle shop yesterday...

^It's hideous, but always a good idea when you're really freaking drunk. :D

We used to have a shot of it upon arriving at our clubbing destination. It always tastes like arse, but it helps to get the party started.

What is Chartreuse like?

Green or Yellow?

Green rocks in about 55% alcohol,
an' tastes like 'clean' 'erbs,
slightly anise,
nuttin' like ouzo or Pernod.
Very relaxin'.
Usually about $60-65.

Yellow unda'weights at 40%,
is a bit lighter,
but you're better off buyin'
Green.
They're usually about the same price.

I think it's great.

A nice pleasant drunk.

Very easy drinkin'.

Jus' pour a coupla measures over ice,
(crush'd ifya wanna frappe')
swirl,
an sip or sink.

Very useful spirit.
'specially if you in a mode fo' NOT drinkin'.

I have tried horseradish in the past - and liked it.

Found some Wasabi in da fridge, Mixed a couple of Marys. Yum, me thinks I'll be adding that to the recipe. I tend to use salted tomato juice, so added salt might be a bit much.

I have a friend who, aside from working as as a barman in several countries just to learn the traditional mixes, also won the cocktail mixers' world title 3 years in a row. Last time I saw him he mixed me a mojito, with genuine Havana white rum, of course. T'was beautiful, and after a few I felt I'd been well and truly seduced by this drink. I'm sure it will go well with my new gift - a box of genuine Cuban cigars

I am mates with a Manager of a bottlo-o and he said he only pays 30 cents more for Red but the owners control the prices...

though I have to admit that the green often seems to be cheaper than the red, I have put this down to the superiority of the red rather than the greed of the bottle shops however if you wish to pop my balloon please feel free...
