Share something POSITIVE from your day vs. it's all around you

took a 3.5 mile walk with my mother on a trail through a valley to and from this beach. it is one of my favorite walks, and favorite places, in the world. my mother took me there often as a child to see the wildlife, and as adults we love to take the walk and share time together. stopped at a farmer's market on the way for fresh fruit and banana bread. Great sunday.

I just killed a spider, really the only positive thing. Can't let these fucks grow because I had the fattest spider I ever seen in my room a couple days ago.
No remorse.

Started my job today. It's been like a full year since i had a legit job. And finally built up the will power to throw away my stashed rig

Great new OG, hope all went well :)

Good work on getting rid of the paraphernalia I could do with following your lead, I think such things are much more significant than some would think.

We are planning a long weekend break with my parents, my mum has been having a hard time of late and she seemed genuinely exited about it today, she has always been there for me in the past and although in some ways I'm to looking forward to it I'm so pleased to be doing something for her for once.

Went on a walk through the public gardens at one of the parks in my city. Found this "honeybee hotel." Clearly there were some vacancies left tonight. ;)

@OG--Congratulations on the new job, and an even bigger congrats for having the strength and self-control to throw away the last of your paraphernalia. I think holding on to these old rigs and pipes and such is directly related to holding on to our old way of life. At the same time I think subconsciously it's a way of keeping a small door ajar to slip through if we ever have an overwhelming urge to slip up. If these items are in my room, I can simply be on auto-pilot and grab them without thinking too hard about what I'm doing. Getting rid of paraphernalia complicates things just enough to guard against relapse--it puts one extra step in our way. Without these tools in our homes and rooms we are forced to think that much more about what we are about to do. Well done.

Thanks!

Yeah but it's so easy for me to get more needles. All I'd have to do is walk into the grocery store and ask for some and they'll give me a bag of them. Some ask for a prescription but others don't ask any questions. But yes I agree that having them gone will make me think harder before I act and if I wanted to go get more than I'd still have some time to think about what I was about to do and hopefully talk myself out of it.

It was a warm(er) day.. opened all the windows and turned the ceiling fans on and got some fresh air into the house.
Got rid of all that winter indoor feeling, feels like spring!
House smells a bit better too, im a smoker.

We just hired a new shipper yesterday and she started today. I am training her for two to three weeks so I will expect less workload on my shoulders. She seems to be okay, she is asking a lot of questions and she seems to be eager to learn more about the job and the company. I am hoping that she is different from other shippers we hired before but it is only the first day so we'll see how it goes.
