Sexual Ethics in Recovery

I read your post and replied a week or so ago. Engagement ring on, in recovery doesn't sound like a good plan. Not everyone Is ethical with the opposite sex in recovery because not all of us like the opposite sex in that way. I'm always careful how I ask questions ( I try). I ask them in an objective way! But yes I believe being ethical is so important even as an addict. My mom taught me this as a kid, integrity!

I believe it is inherent to the opioids themselves. It isnt something that affects everyone and for those it does affect it can take time to develop. It also has a lot to do with how opioid use can affect diet and water intake. I suggest you drink more water, and if it becomes a real issue you should definitely see your doctor about it
 
I have decided to just be honest with girls that I just wanna fuck em and duck em if that's the case (with more finesse than that) and not violate the sanctimony of marriage.

The second one I haven't done a million times or anything just had done it recently though so it was fresh on my mind.
 
Wise move treezy. Ever been cheated on before? It is best to have a little empathy for the victim regardless of it is the woman's fault.

agree 100% but i know so many addicts that are desperate to get into a relationship when they get clean..its like they just switch from a drug to getting addicted to a person..those relationships will never work long term imo

VERY normal to have very impaired sex drive and ability while on any opiates..try to think long term too as they are notorious for lowering your testosterone and in some cases this can be permanent where you would need trt..ive known a few guys that were hardcore addicts that had to go on TRT after years of opiate abuse...
 
^^^Yep it is why rehab romance is so prevalent. Men that have been on opiates for a long time generally have a huge resurgence of sexual desire.
