So I was originally under the impression that amphetamine's Action on the body was caused by it's effects on dopamine (& norepinephrine) and that the negative effects after binging (and reasons behind postloading) was because of depletion of dopamine in the body as opposed to MDMA which has a greater effect on serotonin afterwards. But recently after a binge last week I read that it may effect seretonin as well? I'm confused as to whether or not it has a significant effect on serotonin as well (specifically after an adderall binge). Any light that can be shed on this is greatly appreciated

You can tell, too. Even at very high doses amphetamine is clearly missing something when you're used to meth.

d-amp has little effect on serotonin. i don't think it releases it at all, unlike meth which is a mild serotonin releasing agent. both have strong dopamine and norepherine effects, which makes up most of their mechanism of action.
