Biology Sea Levels - Who Cares?

I've been to Montana a few times on hiking vacations but never actually lived there or paid much attention to nuts and bolts of living there. It's generally a very conservative state. It's also had an influx of rich people moving and buying things up, but they probably don't live there year round. Missoula is a college town and more liberal than elsewhere, but I think that applies to bigger metros there just like anywhere.
I think living along the Amtrak line would be nice and convenient because you can take the train to the West Coast or Chicago easily ( I love trains, and Amtrak stops at Glacier National Park, for what it's worth)
Personally, though, it would take a lot to get me to leave California or the West Coast. I'm too settled in

Part of The Netherlands is already located underneath sea level.

If the sea-levels would rise dramatically, simply more dikes would be constructed which would economically be feasible given the enormous value of the real estate in this country.

maybe part of this could also be that the gov is using water to give us electricity while pretending they raise the taxes due to inflations or certain maintenance schedules where they say "We work in a foggy, rainy day, or rainy days.." this is no way to work, our citizen must witness this and say yeah.. fuck'em, when this shit doesn't happen? and this is also a thing with the lakes as well, their still water.

the chinese get all their boxes ticked by the orient.

so they did thirty years ago back in ussr, so the chain reaction goes further on.

isnt a bad thing... in case we ever get invaded by them, the US has a system called "Patriot" which apparently, by what I have been reading about, back then, seems it's a 99.7% success rate(0.3 being a predictable change within the petrol market/army deployments and accounting fundings), russia could use this vulnerability that its seen in the chinese gov to further help China and get the same or more of the effect to their gains.

Now I don't say anything... US is powerful as an army, tru, but their the only ones that could actually save us from a scale invasion.

with some salute from the German bootcamp.

And I'm sure New Orleans, LA already is a bit below level as well.
Another one of my Favorite places ever. It's the Best Food too.
I wanted to stay there forever. ... But not Below Sea Leve.

It can be done if you can organize the resources, I'm sure.

If life originated from the oceans and seas would today's land life evolve back to the beginning of its original state?

Montana is one of the places we are looking at to move actually. Any clue where is good in montana for a small family looking to cause no trouble--- but also join no hoa and do any of that bs. (Cheap usually isnt those places anyways and cheap is a priority)

Montana is indeed MJ legal correct? Wonder what the prices look like cuz they GREAT in MI (and I am a tough customer ive been told) lol --- if cost of living is less (and I believe it is) who cares it evens out

like the buga sphere

This is real though. Fell in columbia and is a strange thing to say the least

It's Amazing. I wish I could move there. I have been up there before.
It looks like a Penis. Wink wink. winnnnk. I'm going to get hate. I don't care anymore.
It's just so different from the States.

Seems like an obvious no. Why would anything "evolve back" to what it evolved from?

If fish learned to walk and breathe air, then the land became uninhabitable for them over time, they would be forced to evolve to live in the water again, but that's evolving further. Biological evolution has no backward direction

It's way up there too. And will still get soaked if it rises too high. A nice matter to explore.

Or as we are expecting. Hell will freeze over again someday.

  • Global average sea level has risen 8–9 inches (21–24 centimeters) since 1880.
  • In 2023, global average sea level set a new record high—101.4 mm (3.99 inches) above 1993 levels.
  • The rate of global sea level rise is accelerating: it has more than doubled from 0.06 inches (1.4 millimeters) per year throughout most of the twentieth century to 0.14 inches (3.6 millimeters) per year from 2006–2015.

so, why isn't new york underwater?

well, kind of obviously, it's because the sea level hasn't risen enough . yet.

for now, most of new york city sits well above the high tide line. most of manhattan, for example, sits between 7 to 13 feet above sea level. at the current rate, it will take about 600 years for the sea level to rise to the point where nyc is "under water" but problematic, so-called "100-year floods" could be an annual event by the mid 2050s.
