780 math/740 verbal for a 1520, and this was in 2002 so before the new writing section. Didn't take the ACT. Didn't take any prep courses either; but I was a hardcore nerd and had no friends so I always spent way more time on school than other people... all AP courses, math club/competitions, etc.
I didn't want to leave my state for college, so I went to University of Miami for their undergrad Neuroscience program (which required an SAT score of 1350 just to enter). Very good school (Division 1, and in Tier 1 of US News rankings), but not ivy league.
I don't really buy the accuracy of correlating SAT scores with IQ, but from a quick search such formulas are somewhat accurate for me; my IQ is 151 and the value from iqcomparisonsite.com is 149.98. I'm sure there's a rough correlation; obviously someone with an IQ of 180 isn't going to score an 800; and people seem to think that pointing out exceptions disproves any correlation whatsoever, which simply isn't the case. There's always outliers.
