A timely thread, for me at least. First time with cacti, though well versed in the ways of the mushroom and LSD as it was back in the late '80s ( In the U.K. at least? ) . . .
I'm currently 3 hours in to a tea made from 800g ( 18 inches long by 2.5 inches wide ) of Peruvian Torch. I
think I did everything right . . . . blitzed it in a blender on wednesday night til I had around a litre of foamy, gluey snot, froze it overnight and gave it the odd run through with a fork so the ice crystals had an 'alf decent chance to pop those juicy little cells, defrosted it, then simmered gently over a 5 hour period in around 4 litres of water with a splash of lemon till i had around half a litre of brew. Drank aforesaid brew over an hour long period starting around 3 and a half hours ago.
So far . . . I have vague visual disturbances, just at the periphery of things, with a very slight enhancement of colour and shade I guess, but nothing more than that. Music is perhaps ever so slightly enhanced, but that might be down to the SRS Audio?

Vague nausea began around an hour after taking it, but nothing that couldn't be cured quite easily with a little running water over the wrists and a cold compress to the back of the neck. I have a pronounced all-over tingle, and a slight numbness in my hands. Very sweaty palms as I type. Every 5 minutes or so I get massive waves / rushes coursing upwards through my entire body that take my breath away, and require a still, calm moment of serious breath control, and when that happens it seems like I'm gonna break through into a full-on trip at any moment, but then it's been feeling like that the last couple of hours, and I'm thinking that's as far as I'm going tonight.
I shall let you all know if anything changes, but I'm not sure even the notoriously slow mescaline can take over 3 hours to come up, can it?
[in edit some hours later]No change to speak of really, and apparently not. That was about as good as it got?
