I'm not sure if he has been remanded in custody.
I am - he was refused bail, the 'rat pack' (tabloid journalists) photographed him being stuffed into a (Serco) sweatbox, had a motorcycle courier follow the van to see where it went (HMP Wandsworth) and since E-wing is the induction/VP wing, that is where he is.
@
kingsfont - hence 'unbranded' having already having replaced the term 'belted beards' which basically means a prisoner has all personal items removed, gets a shower a shave and a shit and their 'boob gear' i.e. blue t-shirt, a grey jumper (sweater), and grey soft trousers (jogging bottoms/pants) and unisex black or white canvas gusset plimsolls with rubber soles.
The last friend who ended up inside was more or less just used as an example. They lied on some forms to get a second tax-free loan. The people I know don't go in for violence.
But it means I have some understanding that nothing really changes. Dehumanizing and institutionalizing the newly convicted is a one-size-fits-all methodology. Making it very clear from the first few hours that they are then just a number.
It throws the book wide open as to where he winds up. His wealth will almost certainly mean he will be treated as a VP and end up on 'the ghost train'.
That said, there are two more complaints the police are still investigating. It couldn't be made public while the trial was ongoing.
I sense absolutely no admission of fault by RB BUT if he is in fact guilty of the offences and insists on a second trial, a second conviction could add a LOT to his sentence because the judge WILL consider his previous convictions. Anyone sane would very quietly indicate guilt at the earliest possible juncture.
As it is, I guess 8 years.
But if he goes the whole nine yards and is THEN found guilty a second time, depending on the specifics, a second conviction could add anywhere from 2 to 10 years.
