Russell Brand... your thoughts?

Never been particularly taken with his comedy, but that's beside the point. If there's evidence, let the proper process deal with it. Turning everything into a battle between Brand and the establishment doesn't really help anyone get to the truth.

Oh - Rapey Russell is on the induction wing of HMP Wandsworth. So he's got the 'squat and cough', 'the car wash', 'sit on the BOSS' to finally get his numbers. Is it just me or do all three bits of that prison slang sound like rides at a Russell Brand themepark?

I have to disagree, @F.U.B.A.R. - Lifers attack high-profile prisoners BECAUSE they are high-profile. Prison napalm because he's 'pretty'. Being pretty could also lead to some situations he's certainly aware of, but now from a different perspective.

He should have stuck to not being funny in the 1990s.

Lee Evans showed us that.

Being not funny in the 1990s was a viable career path.

TWO doctorates and that's your in-depth expert opinion 😂

Is THIS what I don't pay my taxes for?
I wouldn’t even need one doctorate to know he’s a cunt! 😂😂😂

I can’t wait for the sentencing! I can’t wait to see what his solicitors are going to come up with for that hearing! Oooh excitement! Finally some psychology!?

Is he pretty?? 👀

He’s a scruff!

I dunno about that, it's not like he's been convicted of noncing. In fact, he'll probably get preferential treatment - as long as he pays for the drugs...

Anyway, nice to see The Diz back again... :tophat:
Well yeah the nonces will get the very worst, whereas Russell will merely get the very nasty I'm sure

Also he'll be a fukking= prize scalp! First one to do him will be a celeb on there for sure

Ahhhhhhhhhhh he's in Wandsworth? :ROFLMAO: He'll be done tomorrow then, assuming it hasn't already happened.

I did explain it, Rapey Russell will be assessed as 'high risk' BECAUSE he is rich and infamous.

So he will end up on 'the ghost train' where he get's ghosted from wing to wing, prison to prison in theory for his own safety and so that he cannot USE his wealth.

For US readers, I believe you term it 'diesel therapy'.

'russell brand' has already replaced 'unpaid hand' i.e. prison industries or mandatory landing work chores (like sweeping the flats or working in the laundry) that are unpaid.

Not difficult. I much prefer:

'unbranded' which is a mocking reference to standard-issue prison clothing. Because prisoners cannot wear their own belts, beads, beard and so forth.

In GOOD NEWS - he WILL be provided his very own Bibel (sic).

I think maybe Russell will have to cut his hair and shave. The custom suits, shirts open to the chest, and those foppish scarves will have to go too buddy.

There WERE a lot more reports after the Channel 4 programme. Ian Winter KC claimed that it 'poisoned the well' which again, is a double-edged sword because if there is a huge power-distance i.e. a rich and famous person who could afford to persue a CIVIL action against allagations made by a victim, chances are the the ratio is, in reality, a lot bigger than one-in-six.

In fact RB messed up when he openly admitted 'consensual but exploitative sex' with a 16 year old girl.

I've known (not in the Biblical sense) girls who at 16 were more mentally mature than a lot of women ten years their senior. But equally I've know (again, not in the Biblical sense) girls at 16 who really were just kids.

All I know for sure is that there is no way on earth I would have left my little sister in a room with RB. She's no dummy but she is small in stature. But that IS just my opinion.
I'm not sure if he has been remanded in custody until sentencing (I'm sure that's not the right term lol)
But if he is a free man until sentencing couldn't he look up his family tree and apply for citizenship in Russia, he looks a bit like Rasputin lol
Worked for another celebrity a good few years back

I'm not sure if he has been remanded in custody.

I am - he was refused bail, the 'rat pack' (tabloid journalists) photographed him being stuffed into a (Serco) sweatbox, had a motorcycle courier follow the van to see where it went (HMP Wandsworth) and since E-wing is the induction/VP wing, that is where he is.

@kingsfont - hence 'unbranded' having already having replaced the term 'belted beards' which basically means a prisoner has all personal items removed, gets a shower a shave and a shit and their 'boob gear' i.e. blue t-shirt, a grey jumper (sweater), and grey soft trousers (jogging bottoms/pants) and unisex black or white canvas gusset plimsolls with rubber soles.

The last friend who ended up inside was more or less just used as an example. They lied on some forms to get a second tax-free loan. The people I know don't go in for violence.

But it means I have some understanding that nothing really changes. Dehumanizing and institutionalizing the newly convicted is a one-size-fits-all methodology. Making it very clear from the first few hours that they are then just a number.

It throws the book wide open as to where he winds up. His wealth will almost certainly mean he will be treated as a VP and end up on 'the ghost train'.

That said, there are two more complaints the police are still investigating. It couldn't be made public while the trial was ongoing.

I sense absolutely no admission of fault by RB BUT if he is in fact guilty of the offences and insists on a second trial, a second conviction could add a LOT to his sentence because the judge WILL consider his previous convictions. Anyone sane would very quietly indicate guilt at the earliest possible juncture.

As it is, I guess 8 years.

But if he goes the whole nine yards and is THEN found guilty a second time, depending on the specifics, a second conviction could add anywhere from 2 to 10 years.
