I'm going to see if I can download that title on audio book, and if so, at some point, I'll give it a go to see if I can engage with it or not.
I agree about Brand's use of over complicated words and sentence construction detracting from w/e he was trying to say. In that regard he's exactly the same as Jordan Peterson, who's construction of his verbal sentences and choice of words is often so complicated that the meaning becomes entirely lost, or hard to follow, at best. Effective communication should not be like that.
It's ironic, to say the least, that one of his "12 Rules of Life" as per the book that made him famous, is to "Be precise in your speech."
It would be a nightmare, although possibly entertaining in a very small dose, to listen to Brand and Peterson engaged in some kind of podcast or social media video discussion, interview, or debate.
