Romany & gypsy are we tolerant in Europe ?

Some 'people' take advantage of the disadvantaged. Extrapolate that and you've got that traveller headline.

Deffo should be included in a poll.

It's the Welsh you want to watch for for modern-day slavery (no, really). Travellers are more into the scrap metal/tarmac driveway scene.

Cant say im too surprised that no-one from the Romany Gypsy community has responded in this thread.

The fact none of them can read or write is probably a major factor in the lack of Gypsy activity on bluelight.

Likely they sold all of the scrap metal they could get off the computers, rare earth mineral used in the production of electronics are actually in high demand

Members of such a tight-knit community probably have no need to chat shit on the internet.
We could probably learn a lot from them.

Mind you they could probably learn a lot from us too.
Mostly stuff about how to properly dispose of gas bottles and shitty tissues and about how marrying cousins isn't such a great idea.

Aye, when the girl turns 16 get her married and sent home to do the cooking and cleaning because thats all shes good for, we have so much to learn from them.

And cleaning the waste theyve left on someones site for the owner to clean, and grabbing women and and so much more.

I'm only trying to get into the collective guilt thing! Just can't win...

Perhaps you're oversimplifying to the extent that you miss the point of the analogy.
I guess if you take Thatcher's "there's no such thing as society" philosophy seriously, then we are just an unconnected series of individuals, ethically cleansed of any social history or meaning.
Or maybe you're taking it personally that someone should suggest that the events of the past (positive or negative) might have some link to people today. If it's the "guilt" thing that sticks in your craw, try relating to something celebrated from history.
Either way, it wasn't said (by me) in regard to Roma travellers; simply that we should look to the past to put the current day into a bit more perspective; ie the irony of Brits complaining about alleged "criminals" moving into their communities. The examples of Brits imposing themselves (violently or not) on lands across the globe are too numerous to list briefly.
Lessons of history? Forget it, just flick on the telly.

Trolling? How about trying to bring the thread back on topic.
If you think the UK's problems are unique, you're wrong.
If you don't want to read my posts, you guys have plenty of shitty tabloids tailor-made for British consumption. It's up to you.
