If you truly don't plan on doing it again... why hang out on bluelight? I never understood that... i like bluelight because i see it as a good tool for future usage...

The line must be drawn somewhere! So is 10 ok? or is it 15?
I think most people agree based on experience that at the age of 15 or 16 you are hardly emotionally stable enough to start experimenting with [hard?] drugs.

I say this based on MY experience. I've lived in a life surrounded/consumed by drugs and those who entered the cycle early have far worse long term issues than those who entered later and had self control .. what is it ... the realisation you are not invincible, or maybe you have a family to look after or maybe just they had grown up a little and didn't have as much to prove.

The younger people have sex the earlier the pregnancy ... for me the same is true with drugs ... the earlier young people consume the earlier they get fucked up .. before they have even grown up ... so yes a line must be drawn!

Responsible drug use is a fantastic idea but in practise it's not hugely successful. Young people are far more likely to be irresponsible than older people for a multitude of reasons and those older abusers tend to be just younger abusers than have gotten older.

I'm not one of the belief that ecstasy is a 'hard' drug and honestly, I've seen it do both good and bad for people, no matter the age. I saw a 14 year old who totally changed for the better as a result of one dosing but then I've seen people older than me wreck themselves with it.

I agree with Bilz0r... there's no real way to define when its safer to do ecstasy or ANY drug for that matter, 'hard' or not.
 
No, the line doesn't have to be drawn somewhere. Some people are ready to take drugs earlier, and some people aren't. Just like some 18 years olds drink responsibley, but you wouldn't give a 50 year-old alcoholic.

There is no biological or behavioural reason to drawn a line, in regards to age.

As for the hanging around, even though I'm new.. well.. I browsed this site for a long time now just to read while I'm at work and have a few good laughs, and now I've come to bring the wholesome goodness of sexy steve. But as for staying it's good because of the atmosphere and reading on other things. I guess this is another one of those "You either like it or you don't".
 
mmmm...i was 18 was i first dropped , and have been doing it ever since...in moderation is good..but i think at the age from 14-16 i dont think i could have dealt with it properly.
 
I didn't start using e till I was 18, I'm 19 now. Started off smoking weed and drinking stupid amounts of alcohol at the age of 15, back then i'd never have any intention to touch a pill or any harder drug. I have abused E now and again, going on binges and such but eachtime i'd start going crazy I give it a break for a while. I'll never regret taking E, although I do wish i had of waited until finishing my education (college) as i've really started to slack lately and i'm in bit of a mess trying to catch up, E became more important to me than getting good grades at college, or even attending i'm giving it a couple of months break now as thats what i have left of college, so time to get my head down and sort out where i'm going! Soon as summer comes and it's all out of the way i'll be going straight back to it!
 
I'm definatly glad that I didn't do E when I was still in school. My hormones were all over the place and I was pretty depressed most of the time, something that made me feel that good would have been really hard top use in moderatiopn. It would have made things a lot more difficult for me.
 
Dropped first at age 16, haven't seen any real problems from anything, but I haven't abused the drug yet so it depends on the user. I don't see the big deal about teenagers dropping if they do it responsibly, but how about pre-teens? I have actually seen a 12 year old that dropped twice a week.
 
I Started rollin madd since i was 15, now 16. I don't think there's a problem with teenagers doin e, as long as they know that there's gonna be consquences for their actions which is apart of growing up. I know for a fact, e has changed my perspective of life, making it alot better, E was a drug that woke me up and showed me to the good directcion of life, gettin closer with friends and family, cutting down on drugs, and telling myself to concentrate in school. As long as they know what they're doing and doin it responsibily, it should be fine. I would be more concerned about teenagers who are doin drugs but have no basic information of the drug that they are using. Smart teenagers know when to cut down and listens to their body's needs.

im still very young but i feel personally that a large majority of todays young rollers are pretty well educated wen it comes to doing their pillz, they come to sites like this that educate and inform us on harm minimisation and also the older more experienced users tell their stories of pain and heartache caused by drugs which for me stopped me getting in 2 deep when it would have been very easy for me to do
 
I feel that people should wait until late teens early twenties to do it, that way "most" are governed by a job or schooling of somekind that makes them use drugs responsibly, because the initial honeymoon period of mdma can be overbearing and take control of your life (it did for me anyway). I'm glad I waited until 18 or whenever it was to start because I know I woulda been a statistic had I started much earlier.

That said, kids will try everything if they can get their hands on it, so what can you do??
 
^^^I agree with Swifty. When I first started rolling at 19 I fell in love with the scene and the whole ecstacy experience pretty damn quick....I know that a younger, less responsible me would've ended up in over my head pretty quick. Life is long enough to wait until your 18....finish high school and start to get your life together first I say.
 
^^ these are my exact feelings aswell. I first tried e when i was 18 and i know that if i had done it while i was still in high school i would of been much more succeptible(sic) to the down sides of using E. also i think mental stability has a lot to do with it, if i had used E anytime prior to graduating from highschool i think i would of been a mental wreck for a while after each time. i never used it when i was dealing with internal problems and i have never had a bad comedown (depression, anxiety) after rolling.

I started when I was 19... well I'm still 19 and I can say I am actually GLAD I didn't do this while I was in school. I'm actually a very lazy person and it would have just done me no good ;p

I would agree that you should just wait till nothing is really in your way.

so a person who's 17 one day (they're bday being the next) should wait to do drugs the next day because it makes it "better"? their mentality hasn't changed, it's just that now they're 18 instead of 17. i agree that a person should wait until they're older to use drugs simply because i think that a person is more mature when they're older but i think there's always exceptions (i was NOT one of them though LoL)
 
I don't think that's what she's trying to say at all. Most 18 year olds still have to deal with school, therefore I *think* she's just trying to imply that you should stay clear until you have nothing in your way and you have to worry about.
 
i'm 18, first used ex a few weeks before i turned 18. don't think it had a negative effect at all on me, since i started using drugs in general i've been reading so i don't use something that i don't know about. i was using shrooms for about a year before i did ex which i think helped IMMENSELY because they're both very intense "trips"

i dont think 15-16 year olds should be rolling period. i've never met a 15-16 year old emotionally stable enough to control a trip and moderate use. and at that age i really wouldn't have wanted to use the most orgasmic drug because i dont think i could have appreciated it's magic

i learned a lot from my ex experience when i was 17, doing it with 2 girls and a few bottles of whip cream might have helped too;)
 
how is an age a determinant of when one should do drugs our age changes as mentioned above from one day to the next whereas our maturity level is something which develops from the day we are born and the way we are brought i up, i personally feel that some 20 year olds i have met are not ready to do drugs as their maturity is that of a 13 year old girl BUT some 15 year olds hanve the inteligence and maturity to deal with things a lot beyond their years, each person is an individual and we should, i feel, treat them as one, i was possibly to young i think it would have been smarter to wait a little longer but i didnt and i am my life has not been adversly effected by y choice, but then again i am the age where everyone is saying i should wait to maybe this is me once again trying to prove that i am old enough :D
