Hi. After a lot of conflict and arguing, I was finally able to stop taking my SSRI (specifically duloxetine/Cymbalta). Was on about 60mg a day for about the past year. Before that, it was (20mg? Maybe 40) citalopram/Celexa for perhaps a little under a year.
Was able to find a scientific journal article on the fact that SSRI use can cause brain damage (tardive dysphoria) and showed it to my mother. Unfortunately, have been under her care and supervision due to an injury, but will soon be moving back out. She pretty much forced me using threats of punishment and calling me suicidal.
Anyway, I know that SSRI?s will pretty much completely diminish any effects from ingesting serotonin-depleting agents such as MDMA.
After a bit of research, I?m hearing that a person who has been taking an SSRI for a long time can actually never roll again :-(
My first question is: how long would a person have to have been taking an SSRI for these drugs to stop working ever again?
Second question is: how long would a person want to wait after stopping an SSRI to roll and have complete effects? I saw a few people suggest 5 x the half-life + a few days; the half-life of duloxetine is only 12-18 hours. Others suggest a month or more.
Thanks for any info on the subject!
