i was diagnosed with adhd and have been prescribed ritalin
i really dislike ritalin, for alot of reasons
it just makes me feel dodgy and its nowhere near as smooth as dexamphet etc.
i was wondering if its a good idea to tell my docotor this and ask to be switched to dex,
or actually wait for him to consider dex himself after i report my results after my 2 weeks trial?
as im in my last year of highschool and we have many upcoming tests
so i would like to be at optimal performace level

adding to that, was it better to say its not working or im having bad side effects (or both) to be switched to dex?
as i do not wish to be put on an anti-stimulant (stattera..?)
p.s. im not trying to "score meds" i legitimately hate ritalin therapeutically, and find dex much more helpful
i am just enquiring for the best advice when consulting my psych
cheers
