This really hurts. Steve spontaneously sent me a PM a couple months ago just to be friends, and this turned into several late-night conversations about--amongst other things--law, medicine, drugs, and life in general.

From those I gathered an image of a truly friendly and decent human being--knowing he's not with us anymore makes the world for me just a tad colder.
