Riddle anyone? (bahah)

EDIT: added full riddle after MazDan's comment below

Pill Puzzler

You've been placed on a course of expensive medication in which you are to take one tablet of medicine E and one tablet of medicine K daily. You must be careful that you take just one of each because taking more of either can have serious side effects. Taking an E without taking a K, or vice versa, can also be very serious, because they must be taken together in order to be effective. In summary, you must take exactly one of the E pills and one of the K pills at one time.

Therefore, you open up the E bottle, and you tap one E pill into your hand. You put that bottle aside and you open the K bottle. You do the same, but by mistake, two Ks fall into your hand with the E pill.

Now, here's the problem. You weren't watching your hand as the pills fell into it, so you can't tell the E pill apart from the two K pills. The pills look identical. They are the same size, same weight, same color, same everything, and they are not marked differently in any way. What are you going to do? You cannot tell which pill is which, and you cannot afford to throw them away and start over again.

How do you get your daily dose of exactly one E and exactly one K without wasting any of the pills?

You add another E pill to the 3 in your hand. So now you have 2 E's and 2 K's, crush them up, mix them well. Divide the powder in half, one half is todays dose of E & K, the other half is for tomorrow.

I spent most of New Years Day (trying to) solve riddles... so I've got a few. First a really easy one:

A photographer is taking a photo of a pirate with a wooden leg. Why doesn't it work?

This is and old one, but I'll post it anyway.

You have two jugs, one is a 3 litre jug and the other is a 5 litre jug. Your task is to fill one of the jugs with exactly 4 litres of water. You have nothing to measure with other than the jugs, but you must be exact.

Im guessing because wooden legs were not made for taking photos.

Try a camera next time

Fill the 3l jug and tip it into the 5l.
Fill the 3l and tip it into the remaining space in the 5l.
tip out the 5l
tip the remnaining 1l from the 3l into the 5l.
fill the 3l and tip into the 5l.

you now have 4l in the 5l.

Fill the 5L jug and pour it into the 3L jug until it fits no more.
Empty the 3L jug and fill it with the remaining 2L from the 5L jug.
Mark on the 3L jug the water line.
Pour the 2L from the 3L jug into the 5L jug.
Fill the 3L jug up to the 2L mark, pour it into the 5L jug.

^ Im relieved that didnt take long to figure out. It is failrly simple. But good work!

My way of doing it is slightly different:
fill the 5l jug and use it to fill the 3l jug, leaving 2l in the 5l jug.
Empty the 3l jug, and pour the 2l from the 5l jug into the 3l jug. fill the 5l jug again, and use it to fill the 3l jug to the top, leaving four litres in the 5l jug.

God, I am soo hopeless at theory shit! I'll read half of it and then not understand it and not even bother to try and understand it and solve it. Not my thing! U guys are just so smart! :p

solve for x remembering that the exponent is an irrational number and the second turn bi-sects his home at a 45° angle.
