The White Knight remembers
(warning: fairly hard one)

The White Knight was recounting the story of one of the trials he had recently attended:
“Ah yes, it was a fine trial. Let’s see if I can remember it… If I recall there were three defendants. Each of them made one statement accusing one of the others, I think, but I’m afraid I can’t remember who accused whom. Can you work out who was guilty?”

“Of course not!” you reply. “You haven’t told me anything yet! Could you at least tell me who lied and who told the truth?”

“Hmmm... Interesting that you should ask that. When I was describing the trial to the Red King he asked me the same question. When I told him the answer, he worked it out. Unfortunately I’ve now quite forgotten what I said.”

“Well, I guess it’s hopeless for me then…” you sigh.

“Interesting that you should say that, too. When I was describing the trial to Humpty Dumpty he asked me the same question, and when I told him I had forgotten what I told the Red King, he too claimed to be at a loss. But then he asked me another question, I can't quite remember what, but when I told him the answer he was able to solve it. I think he either asked me whether two consecutive statements were true, or whether two consecutive statements were false. Unfortunately I can neither remember which one he asked, nor what I answered. I think I’ve given you quite enough information now though, so tell me: who was guilty?”

the first one was *deliberately* easy :P
kind of a lead in to the second one biatch, which as u mentioned u neglected to attempt ;)
 
Here's one which may be a bit more relevant to the BL community ;)

Pill Puzzler

You've been placed on a course of expensive medication in which you are to take one tablet of medicine E and one tablet of medicine K daily.
You must be careful that you take just one of each because taking more of either can have serious side effects. Taking an E without taking a K, or vice versa, can also be very serious, because they must be taken together in order to be effective. In summary, you must take exactly one of the E pills and one of the K pills at one time.

Therefore, you open up the E bottle, and you tap one E pill into your hand. You put that bottle aside and you open the K bottle. You do the same, but by mistake, two Ks fall into your hand with the E pill.

Now, here's the problem. You weren't watching your hand as the pills fell into it, so you can't tell the E pill apart from the two K pills. The pills look identical. They are the same size, same weight, same color, same everything, and they are not marked differently in any way. What are you going to do? You cannot tell which pill is which, and you cannot afford to throw them away and start over again.

How do you get your daily dose of exactly one E and exactly one K without wasting any of the pills?
 
a man and woman a driving thru the australian countryside, the car runs out of petrol so the man walks to a petrol station a few kms down the road. when he returns with petrol he finds the woman dead in the car with a bullet whole in her head. the doors are all locked, as is the boot, the windows are all wound up, there is no gun inside the car and there are no bullett wholes anywhere in the car! how did this happen?

i'm hazarding a guess here, but the girl's probably a hitchhiker, the guy drives after her somewhere in the countryside, kidnaps her and kills her outside the car, dumping the murder weapon and driving her body to dump it somewhere remote

-OR-

While he's gone, somebody manages to convince the woman to get out of her car, shoots her, puts her back in the car and locks the door when closing it, and runs away.

hmm.... im getting seriously stumped on this one...
i assume when the bullet went through her head, it wasn't lodged there, but would have hit anything else in its trajectory?
 
the door/doors were unlocked when the killer came, or she opened the door or window for he. he killed her then locked the doors/wound up the windows before leaving?


or she was already like that before he put her in the car.

jamie urs is getting me stumped... trying to work out a visual / logical pattern but coming up with inconsistencies... hmmm
