I just need to stress the importance of some basic prescriptions during withdrawal. It literally can be the difference between making it through and falling off the wagon....it makes it so much easier if you can just be honest to a doctor and tell him/her what is going on (say a doc got you addicted to analgesics and you want to stop them). In my opinion clonodine and gabapentin together completely eliminate RLS (lyrica can be used in place of gabapentin but is much stronger, harder to get prescribed, and very expensive W/O insurance. If your lucky like me and have insurance I literally paid under 10 dollars for scripts to clonidine, gabapentin, chlordiazepoxide, ibuprofen, and promethazine...I was coming off 4mg of subs and slept every night like a baby. Best decision of my life.
