Research Study: Long Term Ecstasy Users Don’t Have Brain Damage

You know if this study is right and there is not a serious problem of long term damage then there they go again, the government, trying to scare everyone. I guess it prolly varies from person to person though.

Could it be possible the studies are so different due to different tablet qualities comparing USA to germany?
Do USA pills gennerally have more MDA and meth in them?

(i dont have a clue, just asking)

This article states that taking xtc will eventually shorten penis and have erection problems... i have never heard this before is this true...............??????????????//

http://www.asmilan.org/biology_web/Extacyit/extacypaper.htm

Hey, I think I may be proof that that is true. The erection problems anyway.

For like 7~10 days post-MDMA I don't have one single sexual thought in my head (compared to normal....excessiveness lol) and I go rather limp for about the same number of days.

I don't really mind.......as long as I don't go blind and deaf and can still walk...it's all good....kinda...I guess.

:/

E users may very well have memory problems. But maybe those problems were already there? People who dont use drugs are usualy good at math and science. In society, it is the 'norm' (respected) to be good at these things. There is this underlying factor in people that dont have good memory or math skills. Some of these people tell themselves 'oh, im just dumb'. This leaves a void in this persons psyche. Filling that void, may be the reason why people with bad memory and task skills are using drugs. Has anyone ever thought of this theory?

It not may be the drug, but the psyche of the drug users and there intentions, Upon exploring psychadelics/stimulants for answers that they never had.

The_Great_Refusal>> yeah.. i've been thinking of that alot..

mTowncLa55ic>> i think it's the depressive thoughts you get from low serotonin that does it, not the drug ;)

i know from my self with a little period since newyear that mdma does cause shot term sideeffects, i've done it a little to much and no paying for it.. but im on a long break now and taking 5-htp and it defiantly helps and alot of those sideeffects are beginning to disappear.. so for now i would say of personal experience that mdma only causes shot term problems/damages.. i'll get back to you in a few months and come with a statement, whats left of those negative effects ;)

im just going to give my opinion on this, although there has been a research study on that mdma does not ''put holes in your brain'' i do believe that it does fuck you up. I have used ecstacy for 2 years, alot of this time has been hammering the drug which i regret very much. When i realised it was time to stop and give myself a break i got things such as sleep paralysis, hallucenations, paranoia etc and i know im not the only one with this me and my friend have been talking about this and shes had the same effects. Although there may not be any damage to your brain im certain that it does do some psychological damage that can be repaired after a certain amout of time of not using

once again like with all posts tonight, i havent read the thread and my post may not make sense because im drinking vodka before i go out at this present moment in time

for the record.. i havent really been eating alot of biscuits.. i've had mdma crystal much more, so i now the side effects i got was from mdma, but i also now that they kinda like goes away again after a long break;)

I can see how you came to that theory - pretty clever actually. Umm, just wanted to say that.. rest i kinda forgot.. too.

Well i used to be smart, not just smart but real fucking smart (when i was 12 i was selected along with another 20 people from my state to be sent to melbourne universitiy where i studied a range things from genetics to history. And did so for the next few years untill i wanted to return to a more normal life so i went back to school.

Now i find it real hard to do put together complex thoughts, its like my iq has just been cut inhalf. My memory also suffers, infact its worst then my dad's and he has been drinking a bottle of wine a night for the last 20+ years.

So to say that long term xtc use has no damage isn't just stupid, its down right wrong. U are giving people a flase sense of secruity and most people (like i did) will lie to themselfs about the damage.

Perhaps at low dosage the damage is less noticable or non-existant. I was taking 3-4 great quality pills per night at 2-3 week intervals. Nobody i know has ever stuck to 1 pill a night.

But there is cases of people who have taken heaps more ecstasy then me and say they have suffered no problems. How could this be true? In all the study's on mdma i have read; although alot of them flase, many are true and all show problems in memory and difficulty in learning. So i think that either these people lie to themselfs about the damage, or there is so much damage done they can't even remember how they were before it.

Bad news i know and i bet most of u won't believe me but for me and many people this is how it is.

My Conclusions:
*In an EKG you can see that when rolling, your ENTIRE BRAIN IS CONNECTING. How would the government control us as well as they do if everyone started using ALL of their brain at once instead of 10%?? That's a serious security issue & you know they're nervous!

I think people need to stop the whole government conspiracy crap.

What's this about only using 10% of your brain? You pulled it out of your ass, lot's of people believe it but it's simply not true. Show me some reliable references and I'll shut up.

My personal oppinion on this is that it really all depends on the user... Some people have strong mentality while others do not... Some people have a really strong body that can keep damage minimal... This explains why some people don't have any physcological problems, their mind is just strong enough to withstand what drugs try to alter. Some people have little physical problems because their body is strong against substances while other people are less fortunate and experience more problems...

Really, I believe ALL drugs are harmful one way or another. Just some people can deal with it better than others... The very fortunate ones can get more benefit than negatives from use. For instance, a very intelligent person, say an IQ of 150, could drop E and have the benefit of knowing that he can risk some loss of IQ from dropping, and it wouldn't do any harm for living life. Another person with a much lower IQ would have a harder time because they are risking much more.

I don't think a person can really judge the use of another person unless you actually see it doing harm. Only the user really knows if it is too much, or harmful to them, by experience.

Just all my oppinion of course.

@baileylsd

have you taken other drugs ?
have tried taking a break from mdma?
if so how long?

i believe most people just blames mdma because they are led to believe it causes harm yet they've done other drugs too..

i can say that mdma does cause memory loss but with a break it all comes back;)

what i believe with mdma use is that your brain doesnt want to focus on other things after u take it regularly, it is so pumped up about the excitement of ecsatcy ur brain just doesnt want to make the effort on other things.....
its all to do with chemicals of cause if the brain expierences a high release of serotonin the brain is only gonna concentrate its efforts on using that chemical...with a build up of dopamine happening, this i believe causes memory loss and depression.etc because the chemical your brain "wants" to use is depleting.
So I say that the solution to this is to learn how to control your minds and your chemicals. balance it out by using dopamine to balance out the use of serotonin when not on E.
