One thing this drought really has highlighted is the massive difference in the quality of gear that one person thinks is 'fire' and another muck. Reckon its more than just peoples individual tolerances or experience in the heroin 'game', as Ructions has spoken of people with long habits who still think shit gear is decent. I think some people are a lot more susceptible (sic?) to the effects of heroin, me personally I struggle to get a gouch off of gear and its never made me slur me speech or anything but have sat wiv people smoking the same tackle and theyve been all over the shop whilst I would appear pretty straight. And some people can catch a nod off a .1 or .2, but I dont think I ever could, and I know its not down to quality either as some of the gear I was regularly scoring in the past came in at 60% purity. Do some people have way more opiate receptors in there brain or summit?

Tbh it's likely jus that it's better than ye shit that was goin around for a little while but it is pretty good tbh I know str8 away when I smoke it even tho I dont get a proper nod either like you it still feels stronger.. Yeah lol my ma could sometimes tell if I'd been using back in the day cos although I didnt think I was that fucked I'd be really chatty, happy and in a really good mood! Not to mention the biggest giveaway of the lot tho, those tell tale black smudges on me face lol

Ah haha it's like this at my mas - any piece of dirt on a white wall / door is AUTOMATICALLY a fingerprint from burnt tin foil it doesn't have to even look like a fingerprint!! It's got to the stage I dread visiting home these days. Also I'm lucky that my eyes are almost as black as my pupils so

Have managed to resist gear for the last few days and stuck to me meth despite now having a reasonable local hook up, which Im quite pleased about. Id considered wiping the number from my phone if I couldnt stop scoring so quite pleased with meself. Still gonna have to take an trip back west soon for a quarter as the gears bangin still apparently...might arrange an appt at the clinic, step up my meth detox to one ml per week, pass a piss test then score

Well you said it yourself, the gear has got weaker in the last two weeks & the deals are shit, that is the whole problem. Heroin is expensive & i'm sick of handing my cash over for a sub-standard product, the heroin should be top drawer with the price we pay for it. But even the gear a few weeks ago wasn't as strong as it was two years ago & as you said yourself its even weaker now. To me that equals crap gear......

Ok just smoked nearly half my bag and I have to say I really cannot complain about the quality..it's nice beige colour smells lovely and doesn't burn clear like danced on stuff does.. This is from Dublin I know 100% so it has to be available in Dublin too.. The only complaint is that the bag is barely .2 I would say but it was tic so maybe that's why. Anyways it's fine 8/10 stuff?!!

Guys, some of you might remember I joined here originally to ask a question regarding what the scene wud be like in Mallorca as I was going there for holidays.. Well I got a great connection and basically we spent most of our time driving in and out of the gypsy slum buying coke and gear.. The guy I met carried a bottle of ammonia and a pipe in the car with him at all times and I had never smoked freebase / crack before but woah this shit was fire!! I mean we could buy 0.3 of white and 90% of it washed back as rocks it was beautiful!!

Anyway point is the gear was another story deals were 15€ but the stuff was white and it WOULD not run properly at all, I mean they wud kill for even the poor gear here. Granted 90% of people IVd so they weren't running it on foil like us but the guy I was with said it is not near as strong as what we get.. It was only good for coming down off the base.. So I guess we are lucky compared to them poor guys!!

Some nice gear about down here at the moment. Completely burnt the fuck out of my hand the other day though ! Must have added way too much Citric although I'm usually pretty careful about it. Has left a massive burn down the back of my hand, painful and not a good look for an office boy.

Also got some tackle which was difficult to break down which was kinda weird. Went black in the pin too.

But on the whole, the gear down here is getting better and better.

So if your lucky enough to score gear that has that real strong taste of heroin, the taste that nearly makes you gag, that tastes gives me shivers when i taste it! & if its getting you good & stoned where your head is on your lap, then enjoy it coz there isn't much of that around. I don't know anyone in Dublin who has got proper pre-drought heroin in the last 2 years, but we still live in hope! Enjoy!

Yeah BC007, i had mates saying they were getting 8/10 gear, or at times they were even saying they could get 10/10 gear, but then when i've tried the very same gear that they were smoking i graded it at 2/10 or 4/10 at the very best. I guess it depends on what your expectations are, & i expect good strong tasting gear that gets me trollyed!!! I haven't once got gear in the last 2 years that was as strong as what was around before the drought, a few months ago i was lucky enough to get 'good' gear but i still haven't got amazing gear since the drought started.

But i guess small batches must be getting in, like someone might bring an oz of proper heroin in & if your lucky enough to get a bit before its danced on then your sorted! But i haven't been having much luck at all! I'm REALLY gonna try and not score again till i hear of something worth scoring! Even though i have totally cut back on how much i use i am still spending between €600 & €800 a month on gear. I know thats not that much much money compared to how much i used to spend when i used heroin daily before the drought hit, but its still a lot when you think that i still haven't got properly stoned in two years!!!! 8( Its always expensive when you have a couple who use, you have to get money to support both habits, we're getting into debt again so i'm gonna cut right back again, well i gonna try at least!!!

I lived in the States prior to this, and was only born in Europe, never grew up here or experienced it really. It's my first time in my birth country, kind of weird. Got half an eighth of gear myself at the start of this week and I reckon I got this stuff. Needless to say, I was very disappointed due to the poor quality and over-the-top price. I would've considered the person who helped me score to be a reliable source but I'm slightly dubious now and I think I'll score by myself the next time, maybe just get a bag or two to test first. I really was expecting too much from the gear this time, if it was anything like what I scored two months ago I'd be delighted with it but no such luck. Seems like we're back to square one again, I feel as though I'm constantly missing out on the good stuff because I leave it too late to score.

I havent had that for ages and ages and ages. here in brum ive been smoking steady since about april last year thinking ive been smoking good enough gear yet i havent because the gag and the shiver havent come on. just imagine , in a world where heroin was like wine and tasted by experts, ructions would be the best :D

yes things in dublin going downhill again - but did things ever really get better? sure there was an improvent for a while - there was b floating around tallaght that was better then the other shite that we had been stuck with - but it still wasnt all that great - if someone had sold me that tallaght b before the drought i wouldnt have been overly pleased with it - all of our standards have dropped so much since this drought started

it really is strange the way b can burn so well on the foil + yet its still not all that good - how do they do that? how do they make it? but that b is not the worst going around - i got stung wit b that ran red on the foil the other day - it didn't leave any traces on the foil at all - the foil looked like it hadn't even been used when i had finished - pure manatal - pure shite - that other b that burns well on the foil but has little taste is ok b compaired to the red shite - but yes our standards are really dropping - i used b for 18 / 19 years + got happily stoned every day - but since the drought i havent been truely stoned once - not even once! - even i dont score every day anymore - very few people do - never thought id see the day
