It's called methyl paraben & it's used in all kinds of personal care products.

I've never heard of this chemical before though. I checked online but couldn't find any reference to it being used as a male pheromone.

I can sort of see the logic that it is like comparing estrogen with testosterone where the degree of aromaticity dictates the gender.

Were you lying about 1-carbomethoxy-(4-oxocyclohex-2-ene) being male pheromone?

It looks similar in structure to Hagemann's ester, which is used in the synthesis of carbestrol and fenestrel.
 
I'm just coming up with new lead compounds. I invented the Male Pheromone. It is a conjecture, which may or may not pan out, but it has nothing to do with 'lying' that I can see.
