I was under the impression that the closing date was the 23rd July?

Applications will be accepted for a 4 week period, from the time of this announcement through Tuesday, July 11, 2010. Anyone who reads this announcement is welcome to apply.

The announcement was made on the 23rd June and the announcement post has since been modified.
 
There has been sufficient amount of time for people to send in applications and no body has sent anything in for the past week, so they end on the 14th

So the applications are already closed then? It is the 13th here.

When was the decision made to shorten the application time and when was the change announced?
 
Oh man I fail, that was my bad. That was supposed to be a 13 >.>

Fixed original announcement and added a day for my typo.

Applications close tomorrow Wednesday, July 14, 2010.
