Hello all. I am not really new to Bluelight as I have been a longtime Darkside lurker. I Love all of the inspirational stories of recovery on there. Anyway I have been abusing opiates nonstop for the past 3 years. It started with percocet and gradually ended with Heroin. I was using IV heroin 3 or more times daily. Anyway I went to jail several times and didn't learn from them until the last time I went. June to Sept this year. I found God in jail and I am the type of person to quickly dismiss anything religious. One of my fellow inmates invited me to "chaplians Worship", so I said what the heck I have 23 more hours in the day to do nothing with my time. So I started attending and it truly opened my eyes to the better ways I could be living my life. THank you Jesus! So now I have been out of jail for a little over 2 weeks and I haven't been tempted to use , not once! I find daily prayer and meditation helps keep my mind clear and focused on what I need to take care of. Also when I was released I deleted my numbers out of my phone that was in my property. To all of those out there it does get better with time so don't give up that fight.! Anyways I Am glad to be back on Bluelight reading all of those interesting stories I find on here, and I will occasionally comment on them. Anyway Bluelight thats just a little about me. :)

Glad you're home and doing great! So many of us have struggled and been through it. Still trying to figure everything out.

Hey all, just a brief update, I am still clean and It does get better! I am working full time and going to school. I have money In my pocket. And I recently started a relationship with a wonderful guy. I just have to remind myself where Heroin took me and to make the choice not to go back. Peace .:D
