QFT. One of my best mates is a dubstep DJ and producer, and he reckons that it's no coincidence that the rise of dubstep has happened at the same time as the rise in popularity of ketamine (my mate indulges himself from time to time).

hmmmm...This got me thinking, I'm not too fond of dubstep. Maybe in order to appreciate it more I should try listening to it on ketamine. =D

I used to think that, but over the last year I've started to appreciate dubstep a lot more (and that's without ketamine). When I saw Luke Vibert DJ last October, that really opened my ears to how good dubstep can sound in a club - it's got such a dirty, underground feel to it - I wish I knew the names of the tracks he was playing.

- also, |>R()|)!G/-\|_ posted a couple of phenomenal dubstep tracks in the 'Rate the song above you' thread, which really opened my ears:

- Toasty - The Knowledge (I think this is my alltime favourite dubstep track)

- Hudson Mohawke - ZooO00oO0m (I'm not really sure whether this is hiphop or dubstep, but it's amazing!)
