Just looked that up on IMDB, sounds good. I thought the No Surrender title was just a coincidence but nope, it has the meaning that initially came to my mind lol.

I didn't know Liverpool had a Catholic/Protestant problem. Should just burn the lot of them.

Anywhere with a big Irish catholic/protestant population has problems (eg Glasgow with the whole Celtic/Rangers thing). Condsidering Newcastle has a fair few people of Irish decent (yes I'm one of them!) I wouldn't be surprised to find it has some sectarian problems as well. Got a mate who moved to Newcastle from N. Ireland; he thought the film was fuckin' hilarious - I took that as a good recommendation :). His grandad was a member of an orange lodge, mine was a catholic union activist. Two generations on and he's one of my good mates - just goes to show what a load of shit the whole division thing is, the quicker it's gone, the better it'll be for everyone

That was on BBC4 the other night (and the link will take you to the iplayer page where you should rip the shit out of it!!!).
A look at Germany's terrorist group, The Red Army Faction (RAF), which organized bombings, robberies, kidnappings and assassinations in the late 1960s and '70s.
It's bloody fantastic :) Rather long (2hrs 10mins or so) but really, really good.

seen that a few years ago, the amount of swearing started to get on my nerves after awhile. and the main character is a right cock

I know its been out a good while now, but I only recently got round to watching Animal Kingdom. Best film Ive seen for a long time ! Very compelling, scary and sad. The actor who plays "Pope" makes him a truly beleivable and terrifying sinister/evil/psychotic/psycopathic villain.

Although it seems totally out of place in the film (i guess thats the point) they play that Radio 2 friendly love song by Air Supply - "I'm All Out of Love, I'm so lost without you" and i couldnt get it out of my head for days after watching the film. For several days afterwards, whenever i was high on ODT I could not stop signing or whistling that song very loudly. It was an amazing moment in the film to have that song playing on the TV whilst focusing on the nice young couple sleeping on the sofa, and then suddenly switching to Pope sinisterly watching the sweet girl. The tension builds brilliantly. You never know what the guy is thinking or what he's going to do next.

It is a very dark and grim film. But i like that sort of thing.

I watched the Believer last night. It was OK. It was definitely a strong performance from Ryan. The only thing that dragged it down a bit is a lot of the sound track being a woman wailing in a sort of haunting way. I'm guessing that was put in to appease the sun dance festival crowd, cus I remember a lot of older films made primarily to impress critics have always been a bit up their own arse.

Good shout on Animal Kingdom. Fuckin unreal. Had a mate tell me it was shit a few days a go. We are no longer mates.

About to sit down to Lebanon. Have seen so many crackin shows of late... I'll get back with a few updates soon.

I would rather not as it's rather personal :\
But he's good these days :) So I'm just happy about that.

I'm watching Toys on Film4 right now :D It's a quality flick ^_^
