Beerfest - good fun, beer drinking team sports, from the people who brought you Super Troopers

Let Me In - been wanting to see this one after seeing Let the Right One In. They are so similar I have a hard time understanding why someone would make a remake so soon after the first, and have it be so similar. Take your pick - they are both great (because they are the same), Amerikans might choose to watch Let Me In due to the native english language (as opposed to subtitles or overdubbed english.) Either way - great movie(s)

Devil - not bad, wasn't entirely predictable... it's watchable but it won't make my top 20 movies of all time...

13

Remake of the 2006 cult French thriller, 13 Tzameti. The film, now just going by the title 13, stars Sam Riley (Control) as a man who “unwittingly becomes involved in a degenerate, clandestine world of mental chaos behind closed doors.” The film also stars Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Michael Shannon, Ray Winstone, and 50 Cent. Géla Babluani, who directed and wrote the original film, has remade his own film for English audiences.

I read about this a good while & kept my eye out for it & wasn't disappointed. I haven't seen the original & will no doubt get stick for it being better blah blah blah, but I'd still recommend it. One reason alone is because it was the original director who did this version as well & he's not gonna make a rip roaring cunt of it is he? :D

50 Cent is in it lol

How dare you, he's one of the true great Thespians of the modern era. A diverse actor who will never be type cast as a black gentleman who has a penchant for violence.....wait a minute..... ohh.

BTW - he's hardly in it, so fuck knows why he has second billing.

Coz he's Fiddy Muthafuckin' Cent yo!!!

I mind buying a DVD because it had Jay-Z in it, years ago, cannae mind the name. He was the big name on front cover. Literally in it for 1 scene, 2 minutes & about 4 words lol.

haha, value for money then. Probably not a bad thing when it comes to him though.

I mind the film "Welcome To Collinwood" that had George Clooney in it, front centre of the cover, as well as being touted as best comedy etc etc. In it for around the same time as Jay-Z & not even funny in the slightest. And they wonder why people download.

Best film I've seen in a while is Enter the Void. Absolutely mental, more visual than anything but very, very atmospheric and visual

Watched The Time Travelers Wife last night. Always thought of it as a bit of a chick flick but it wasn't bad. Rachel McAdams<3

Has anyone been stupid enough to watch 'Skyline'?

We were out the other night when my other half said 'Ooh, theres a new film out, do you fancy it' - absolute shit.

Everything about it is stupid, the acting, the CGI, the plot etc. It seemed like a combination of the bad bits from a lot of movies and felt like a bad xbox game.

^^ Yeah I read the horrible reviews and skipped seeing it in the theater. I did however have to DL and watch it, because of the horrible reviews. They were right, it is horrible. I don't even think I bothered watching to the end...

The King Of Kong: A Fistful Of Quarters

Watched it the other night and really liked it. Hopefully not already mentioned.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0923752/

In the early 1980s, legendary Billy Mitchell set a Donkey Kong record that stood for almost 25 years. This documentary follows the assault on the record by Steve Wiebe, an earnest teacher from Washington who took up the game while unemployed. The top scores are monitored by a cadre of players and fans associated with Walter Day, an Iowan who runs Funspot, an annual tournament. Wiebe breaks Mitchell's record in public at Funspot, and Mitchell promptly mails a controversial video tape of himself setting a new record. So Wiebe travels to Florida hoping Mitchell will face him for the 2007 Guinness World Records. Will the mind-game-playing Mitchell engage; who will end up holding the record?
