Had to watch it after PT Anderson kept ravin about it on the Magnolia DVD, in the "making of" feature when he told everyone on the first day of the production that he wanted to make a movie like "Network"

Both are brilliant movies.

one of those campy, 'so bad that they're good' horror flicks is ''Ginger Snaps''
You haven't got a fucking clue. G S is grade A horror.
Fucking campy my swollen sphincter:X
Try watching the almighty genius of THE GORE GORE GIRLS or NIGHT OF THE GHOULS.....or best film ever TROLL 2. Then you will know what so bad they're good really means.
Fucking attacking GS....GS1, 2 and 3 are all great.

Try watching any of THE HOWLING sequels and tell me that GS is bad.

Inception is good, but has many issues. I am waiting for TRON: LEGACY like a full blooded geek. After all the first film I saw on VHS was TRON. Bring it:D

You've recommended that headfucker before Liberal!
Give me some more! I love 'em!
ERASERHEAD

Outstanding fucker....or INLAND EMPIRE which is one of the few things apart from Luis Bunuel films that do my head in with such orgasmic love:D

I should really watch MULHOLLAND DRIVE again seeing as I have 2 copies of the fucker......and try not to watch the lesbian sex scene more than once a day......

Yes, will be watching that soon.
Now it got mixed reviews with some saying its an outright Charlie Kaufman rip off and others saying that it was a great film with Charlie Kaufman influence.

Basically I'd put ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND in my top ten. Michel Gondry does Kaufman so much better than Spike Jonze......well to me anyway:)

Paul Giamatti rocks anyway.

I love it, I also love this one, most people dont, but give it a 2nd or 3rd watch and its a beauty, fuckin work of art i say .....

Fucking hell. You always come good.
I remember chatting about going to the Prince Charles with you one day. And it will happen if one of us doesn't die first....

I could talk about THE PRESTIGE for some time....however I will say this: I worked out the twists before they happened....but still thought it was good. It however is not MEMENTO which is hands fucking down, by some very large distance Chris's best film. Yes it is. Not the DARK KNIGHT...even if it is ultimate drugged out full blooded volume shattering shit.

PS I would also put MEMENTO in my top ten.....so it looks like I'm compiling that 10 as we speak/write.

Also I give you credit for changing which version of CARNIVAL OF SOULS that you had up! First is outstanding......2nd is utter bollocks!

Never saw the 2nd one, the first one i saw on BBC2 late one nite, fucking amazing

As far as "Prestige" goes, I think it might be one the best previews ever, one of the few that makes you want you watch the movie and doesnt give too much away ....

Insanely good movie and a brilliant 120 seconds thats pimps it galore ......

Storyline

In South Yorkshire, a small group of railway maintenance men discover that because of privatization, their lives will never be the same. When the trusty British Rail sign is replaced by one reading East Midland Infrastructure, it is clear that there will be the inevitable winners and losers as downsizing and efficiency become the new buzzwords. A cheery camaraderie is soon replaced by uncertainty and turmoil when their depot manager fills them in on the details of the new arrangement. Privatization means that the customer now comes first, something that is instilled into the men in new training sessions. But there are inconsistencies and shortsightedness to the new ways. Men used to working together now find themselves belonging to different, competing companies. Some even have to tender for their old jobs. Others decide to take the redundancy packages offered by the firm. As always, corners are cut in the interest of lowering costs, leading to a series of misadventures.

I've got Enter the Void about, but after reading whatever I could about it when it came out and sort of knowing the whole plot and obviously the POV aspect.....I found myself stumbling at the POV aspect!
POV porn does my head in. Peep Show does my head in. Obviously this was going to. And the small matter of aborted pre-child makes me not be able to deal with it.

Black Swan : I'll see it at some point. How many films can Mila Kunis be in this year? 4? 5? isn't she supposed to be doing a voice for Family Guy?
Meanwhile Natalie Portman has about 4 more films in the can.

Unrelated to this film, Amanda Seyfried and Gemma Arterton are trying to get 6 odd films in...possibly.

That issue of shooting films 1-2 years before they come out and then the whole load coming out one a month really does my head in. Meanwhile Tom Cruise does about 1 film a year.....which is 1 film too many:|

well i'd like to recommend tzameti13 or 13tzameti whichever way round it is.
terrifying film:!
Tzameti means 13 in Georgian, so its 1313 whichever way.
Great film, but Boo Hoo for all those people who can't deal with Subtitles....most good films aren't in English, so non-readers mainly get to see crap.
