This is a great movie that not many people have seen:

Apart from the porologues and Epilogue it's completly set in a trendy NY Italian restaurant dueing one nights service.

Great plot, the only downside is make sure to eat before you watch it, or you'll get very hungry!

If you watch this with a girly you probably end up getting your knob sucked off at the end of the film, otherwise you wasted two hours watching a semi decent chick flick.

I remember seeing this in my teens and laughing at how bad it was. I still remembered it years on, but couldn't remember what the hell it was called until I accidentally found it on youtube the other week. It's hilarious. The names of the characters alone, along with the false bitchy talk is fantastic. :D

For Terrence Malick, also : Days of Heaven, Thin red line and I haven't watched any cut of the New World Yet.

Think red line has fixated me ever since I found out that he couldn't edit his own film within the time constraints, so it was taken off him and a version of the film released, which I personally love. But there was so much extra footage shot that multiple other films could have been made from it. Nick Nolte at the time had said that he was surprised that they managed to get a workable film without it being 6 hours long, and how he would love to see a 100% alternate cut.
Normally with films you get longer and shorter cuts, but for this film it really should have been a divided film like Che1 and 2.
Malick does that with all his films. He just keeps writing more script and filming more stuff and then having to be manhandled from the editing suite when he hasn't got anything like finished product after 4 months or whatever.

Crank FTW.
Crank2, I have decided is not quite as good. Its mainly a huge set of in jokes about all and sundry, and though great fun, it didn't have me in total hysterics like the first one.
There are rumours Crank 3D is in the offing and I would see that at the cinema, although I have a feeling they may have exhausted the concepts involved. Unless they get Mike Patton to co-write the script as well as do the soundtrack again.

Instead watch "The Living dead at The Manchester Morgue", which is not filmed in Manchester. But its pretty fucking funny. Environmental zombie films, yeah!

^That's strange. I was just reading a snippet in Total Film magazine about that on the bus home. It's not like it's a new film, so it was odd you should mention it. I'm gonna have to look out for it. :)

Daisies (1966):

PLOT: Two teenage girls, both named Marie, decide that since the world is spoiled they will be spoiled as well; accordingly they embark on a series of destructive pranks in which they consume and destroy the world about them. This free-wheeling, madcap feminist farce was immediately banned by the government.

Inb4 Kickboxer...

Oldskool martial arts or newer? Proper Asian ones or dodgy US ones that are fortunately hilarious as well as being shite? I kinda love 'em all in their own ways but oldskool Jackie Chan like Drunken Master is hard to beat with a side-order of beer and a spliff or two. Or three. Not so familiar with noobier types but liked some of Jet Li's early ones too. Shogun Assassin (or even better the original six Lone Wolf & Cub films) is great if you like swords with your flying limbs. More flying limbs than you could shake a stick at in that one 8o

Also, been meaning to watch Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue for years now and still not gotten around to it. Maybe I should join TG in doing so - pretty sure I've even got it here somewhere just never watched it 8)

is lone wolf and cub the one with the pram with blades on it that whips peoples legs off and a ninja with one arm?

That's the one. There's six of them but they were re-edited and re-dubbed into one to make Shogun Assassin. It's mostly just bits chopped together from from the first two but a classic nonetheless. The originals are way better but lack comedy dubbing which can be a dealbreaker for some.
