Larenz Tate is Anthony Curtis, a good-natured high school kid in 60s New York who is enjoying life with his girlfriend, Delilah and good friends, Skip (Chris Tucker in an early role) and Jose (Freddy Rodriguez) and running numbers for a local tough guy, Kirby (Keith David). Those days are not to last, however, as all three of the young friends end up in Vietnam. Following a fairly lengthy and well-done segment in the Nam, all three end up back in the old neighbourhood, where Anthony finds adjusting to civilian life difficult. Soon (and rather suddenly), the whole bunch of them are planning an armoured car heist, and ohhhh boy, what a heist it turns out to be.

Never seen that despite it having been around for ever. Silly Monsta Poodle 8)
Unless I have but it was in my "smoke copious amounts of weed" days.

Scanner Darkly is decent enough, worth a watch but not amazing.

Watched Righteous Kill and The Happening last night. Righteous Kill was watchable but not decent, shite 'twist' and The Happening had the worst ending to a film I've ever seen. Was waiting for a twist like in what's his faces other films but there wasn't one. Just a really pointless film with no substantial conclusion. Absolutely shite.

Watched Cruel Intentions last night on channel 4.
Wow is Sarah Michelle Gellar hot! <3

Have actually seen it before, but still quite a good movie. Even if just for the talent and nothing else. :D

Downloading Dead Presidents just now...

Most of the people I know who didn't like the film either weren't fans of the book or were unfamiliar with it, I thought it was a great adaptation and the visual style is amazing.

what else have they done together bar godfather part II (not really together) and heat (pretty good)?

yeah really enjoyed it :D jean claude can actually act hah, very funny and just generally good

I recommended that in a previous thread. Its really good.
He should make another film where he does some actual acting in. Best thing he's done since Timecop easily.

I may have located a copy of Sweeney Todd.
So is it dealable? Is it actually good?
I haven't seen any of Tim Burtons films since Sleepy Hollow so I just don't know...and the things a musical. Which only works for The Wizard of Oz really.

Heard the JCVD one is pretty decent which is surprising.
If you actually read about it you would know its nothing like anything he's done before. To start with theres fuck all action. Its just him playing a version of himself and stuff happens that happen in the real world....sort of. Also since its in Belgium its all in French...WAHEY!

Yeah I heard that it's a non action film which is a good start because all his action films are absolute shite. :D
