Reminded me that I need to buy a copy of blood simple, they didn't have a copy of it in notzavvi yesterday though =/

Watched Coraline last week

It was really good but I was in a bad mood and state of high anxiety, plus I'd just tried out 200mg trazadone a night for a few days and was highly nauseous and had to spend 10 minutes in the toilet just prior as I was expecting to spew.
Once it started though I liked it and the 3D was great.Just wish I'd watched it on MDMA or something cos that would have really made it:D

I might need to check that out at some point.

I was just watching 'Grifters' but the DVD player is being useless AGAIN and making the DVDs pause all the time so had to turn it off. :|

found this today

and subsequently got a copy of Stranger Than Paradise, which is brilliant and in the same vein as Goddards Masuclin Feminin.

I'd never heard of Jim Jarmusch until now, liking what I've seen so far though.

Printed out that quote to stick on the "studio" wall to serve as a bit of inspiration, applies equally aswell to the visual aswell as the aural arts I think.

When his friend and co-worker suddenly dies, train enthusiast Finbar McBride (Peter Dinklage) inherits an abandoned railway station in rural New Jersey. A dwarf who avoids social contact whenever possible, Fin treks out to the property and moves in. However, his newly isolated life is disrupted by the arrival of the well meaning Joe and Olivia. Joe (Bobby Cannavale), is an outgoing operator of a roadside refreshment stand, and Olivia (Patricia Clarkson), is a reclusive artist who is grieving the loss of her son. As Joe and Olivia slowly bring Fin out of his shell, all three people are affected by their newfound friendships.

This film is great, best thing I've seen in ages. It's funny, it's heart warming, it's touching and it's entertaining. I cannot recommend it enough, it's so good. :)

I've been meaning to see The Station Agent for ages. Patricia Clarkson has become one of my favourite actresses over the years. She's fucking brilliant in everything I've ever seen her in. Especially in Six Feet Under. She just has a way a combining humour with sincerity all at the same time. :)

As Aunt Sarah in Six Feet Under

A truely splendid film, it had me feeling happy all the way through. It's a shining example of a GOOD American film. :)

Italian Gangster film with sex, drugs & violence.

A master criminal has his sights on conquering Rome's underworld in this exciting gangland saga, spanning more than 25 years of criminal activity in Italy. ROMANZO CRIMINALE follows Libano from hoodlum to kingpin, tracking his rise to power, and the struggles that arise within his gang of ruthless cohorts. However, this isn't just another variation of the classic gangster film formula, as it becomes evident the gangs activities are intrinsically linked to the darker episodes of the country's history, with police and governmental corruption, kidnapping plots and even romance broadening the canvas of this epic film.

This film is good but it could have done with being a bit shorter, dragged on too long and slightly confusing with the way the story is told but decent overall. Lots of great scenes, violence, hot women and a good solid story to boot. First hour or so is epic, goes a bit off track after that but definitely worth watching.

Even you'd like this TheKid. :)
