reason for using hard drugs?

all the reason i have used before:
-boredom
-rebellion
-lack of priority
-relieve craving
-accident
-partying
-recreationally

I dont like the term "hard drugs"...cause they're all just chemicals. It's not like if you zoom in with a microscope on heroin that all the little H molecules are wearing leather jackets with their arms crossed and have mean glares on their faces....and it's not like cannabis molecules are prancing around in meadows putting flowers in eachother's hair....lmao

funny shit

Reason I use [hard] drugs is to get high, plain and simple...

"hard drugs" have the best high.

That's why I do them. Plain and simple.

If I have a ton of problems to think about, which drugs make me forget about them the most?

heroin, coke, speed, ecstasy, benzodiaprines, tranqualizers, alcohol...

Correct me if I'm wrong.

LOL =D

you're a funny motherfucker Dex.....

I use hard drugs because I like them more than soft drugs.

They're for me. They're my "cup of tea".....They're "up my alley"......They're "what's up".....they're "what all the cool kids are doing".......they're "ok ill stop

I can't think of any simpler way to articulate it.... :\

I have a non-drug taking girlfriend, friends who do and don't use drugs, very stable traditional family whom I'm still close with (20yr old), steady white collar job, nearly finished my degree, zero behavioural or psychological problems, am always happy, full of life, and generally on top of the world.

If by hard you mean the ones that really have the potential to ruin your life? Yeah, they're great fun. Use em with half a brain and you'll be sweet(ish).

I take drugs cos they're shitloads of fun, and the spiritual side with certain ones. Is that justification enough?

I do drugs percisely because they show me a parts of myself I'm not comfortable with. I can explore other facets of my personality and go places I might have otherwise ignored.

Ironically enough, drugs have actually made me a more stable person :)

^ But depending on what kind of drugs you use, they can either help you explore those parts or ignore them. I think psychedelics are good for this, which can also lead to bad trips for people who are not ready for this. For example, I know a person who did alot of drinking and meth and seemed to be miserable the majority of the time she was not at least doing one or the other. She said she didn't like LSD and when she decided to try LSA she had a bad trip, became very depressed and was angry at me for suggesting that she try it. I have noticed a tendency in her to completely avoid her problems and just pretend they do not exist instead of dealing with them. And I think alcohol, for example would be good for ignoring your problems but not so great for the exploring you mentioned above. I know when I get drunk I don't give a damn about explroing anything. :D

to be honest, ive thought alot about what makes me take/enjoy OIODS so much, and the basic thing it always comes down to is BOREDOM..sounds kinda crazy, but ive always been a happy guy, for the most part, try to stay positive, but ive always had the tendency to get bord too quickly..everyday things beome very tedios to me, and when i took OPIODS, those same everyday events became fine, OK, and i wasnt bored any longer...i was more optimistic when im on opiods, or know im about to take opiods...it gives me something to look forward to..i have plenty of hobbies, reading, working out, softball, music, but with opiods, you are NEVER LET DOWN...opiods are reliable every time....plus, they kill physical pain pretty effectiveley...

Re: reason for using opiates and benzos?

if this is drug culture material, send it there. here is a quote from someone in the cannabis forum that got me thinking.

http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=168435&r=15
"You people are blindly missing the reason behind this, but I'm not surprised since most of you like drugs that are simple and elevate the mood, it shows what kind of person you are.
Ever wonder why people who get intense anxiety from cannabis are hard drug addicts? The anxiety is simply the cannabis showing/telling you that you are not being who you should be and is surfacing the insecurities that you use hard drugs to escape from. People are so rushed and egotistical nowadays that they look on cannabis as a bad thing, although it is infact the exact opposite, a life giver."

how many of you abuse opiates and benzos to cover up an aspect of your life that you can't face normally? better yet, how common is recreational use of these drugs in normal healthy lives? it seems that if i had no anxiety, a successful life, etc. i would have no reason to use these drugs. a few of my other friends that i know use to block out pain from past relationships/family problems for example, or current depression they're having. i am guilty of this also. i'm ashamed of how i've turned out. i personally can't deal with the anxiety and depression i have. opiates are the only thing that have saved me. who here agrees with what this guy had to say?

i don't use drugs to cover anything up, or as an escape

they are fun and interesting

E, vicodin, tramadol, weed, morning glories, salvia

it's because I enjoy it. I usually don't have a particular reason to use (except with psychedelics). I use at times when my mood is great just as much as when my mood isnt great

so...depends on the person.

well what do you consider to be a hard drug?

To me crack & heroine and also cocaine are the only "hard drugs" as they did destroy many people lives...(let's say I call hard drugs the one that get you pretty addicted so you may have big troubles trying to quit)

Probably the reason I'm not doing "hard drugs" is that I'm much more into the psychedelic trip and the party trip.

So I've been doing speed and xtc to get energy for dancing all the night (To me these are "party drugs" not "hard drugs": that's not the one I'm going to take at home alone to get fucked up)

Does anyone consider meth to be a hard drug? (I never tried t but to me it feels just like speed: another "party drug"... I'm not the one who would enjoy that much speed at home, so I guess it would be the same with meth that's why I don't feel I could get addicted to it and I'm not considering these as hard drugs even if they are addictive: do you think meth is much more enjoyable as a "home drug" ? And I don't know about how hard to quit it is, is it just like for speed?)

And I've been doing acid & shrooms to explore my consciousness & learn , these are not "hard drugs" to me, these are powerful learning tools that have all my respect, and I'll even say that I don't consider natural psychedelics (shrooms, salvia...) as drugs: they are sacred plants, not meant to get high from.

So I guess the only drug I've been using I would consider as a hard drug is cocaine, but as I said it was just a few time at parties: I used it once by curiosity about the stuff, and I tried it a few more times because I like the feeling it has (makes me self confident, wanna talk to everyone, get energy and wanna make lots of things: great for parties)...almost a party drug in the way I use it (I don't feel like using it at home), but as it can be really addictive I call it "hard drug". And probably addiction is the only reason I'm not using it regularly.

I tried opiates (codeine, poppy seed tea), they are nice but I don't like it that much (they really make me feel well, but getting fucked up just for some easy well beeing is not my point)...if opium is more dreamy (some mind travelling with it?) then maybe I'll like it.
And as I don't like opiates that much, then heroine I'm not trying: why would I try the only drug which is said to be really very bad (there are hundreds of other substances around, so this one I don't need).

Dude, you sound young. As you grow older, you'll probably be in the same boat with the rest of us. just wait and see.

Wow, that's a pretty ignorant philosophy to have. Drugs don't destroy "many peoples' lives", people do. I know that is cliched but you alone are responsible for your actions, you can't blame your behavior on a drug. You don't think alcohol has ruined anyone's life?

Hmm, for some reason I thought I'd feel better from doing meth after getting that badass craving, but it just makes me feel more empty inside. Huh.
