Really Sad Movies vs. lik dis if u cry evertim ;_;

Trog is a very sad movie but only because it's painful seeing what garbage Joan Crawford was reduce to playing in at the end of her career.
But you gotta hand it to her. She gave 100% even when the script was total horseshit.

I suppose everyone is different but everytime i watch Gattaca the movie always moves me and makes me a bit teary.
 
Requiem for a dream.

That shit is so reall even the toughest guys i know shed a tear, i've never gotten upset by a movie either.
 
You know, I didn't find Requiem For A Dream that sad at all. Sure, it's a downer film, but everyone ended up with a fate of their own making. I mean, if you do stupid shit, you're gonna wind up with a pretty unpleasant outcome. So I couldn't feel TOO sorry for any of the people in them.
Yeah, it's depressing but none of those characters deserved any of MY tears.
 
supertrav, i didn't find it sad either. unless sad means retarded. cuz that sums up my feelings on it. if i saw a group of guys crying at that movie, i honestly think i'd point and laugh.

I guess you'd have to be able to relate to the subject at hand, its only upsetting if something hits close to home and i can actually understand some people don't think its that amazing.

I think its also more depressing than sad.

i don't agree. the color purple was upsetting to me, and i've never the victim of racial prejudice. signs makes me cry, yet my kids have never even come close to being killed by aliens. same goes for having my mom shot by a hunter (bambi) or needing to put down a dog due to rabies (old yeller).
 
i apparently cried in an inconsolable manner while watching E.T as a kid and was escorted out of the cinema with my mother. i would have been around 4-5 at the time. i wish i could remember why i felt that way; but i carried my plush E.T everywhere until i was 9.

Forget Willy, Free Jimmy!

The animated film "Free Jimmy" is sad on a very personable level for me. I wish I could spoil the ending and tell you all the plot, but then you probably would never watch it yourself. If you are struggling, or have ever struggled, with drug addiction (not that anyone on BL ever has ;) ), "Free Jimmy" is a moving aligory to our lives. I found the movie quite funny and entertaining with a sobering (unintended pun) message about a life of drug addiction.

If you're interested, you might want this.

I watched that movie when I was like 4 years old and I cried. I loved that Troglodyte bastard!
 
Yup, The Bicycle Thief. I can't even watch that anymore.
