Really Sad Movies vs. lik dis if u cry evertim ;_;

This is a REALLY dumb one but....

I cried at the remake of Godzilla when they killed Godzilla at the end.
That shit was so fucked up, it wasn't Godzillas fault! She was just a momma doin her thing! *LOL*

Others.. (some already mentioned)

*Armageddon
*SLC punk
*Donnie Darko

Okay all of them were already mentioned. I had another really good one that I forgot.

Right of hand I can only think of 2.

Which are:
-Pay It Forward and a movie called Beaches

The endings in eachone get me every time.

*Empire of the Sun - when Jim's friend is killed and he is saying how he can't remember what his parents look like, and at the end when he is reunited with them.

i saw this for the first time a couple of nights ago. it was excellent and christian bale was particularly good.

i'm a sucker for sentimental rubbish - stuff like 'four weddings a funeral' routinely gets me going. i had a tear in my eye at the end of 'legally blonde' for fuck's sake :)

i cried my eyes out in the theatre at the end of 'hilary and jackie'

alasdair

i agree with those who have said dancer in the dark and requiem for a dream...

and i'm almost embarassed to admit this, but a couple years back there was a commercial that made me cry. i forget what it was advertising, but it showed a runaway kid. it was a rather bleak and cold view of life on the streets. in the end the kid calls home and only says "mom" before bursting into tears. i think maybe it was for greyhound offering free/cheap rides at the holidays or something. but it was long ago and i don't remember for sure :\

What dreams may come - Majority of the movie. He just wants to be with his wife again :(

Frankenstein (with Robert De Niro) - It's so sad when everyone rejects him

The story of Anne Frank - Towards the end when the 2 sisters are in the camp.

The Power of One - When they kill PK's chicken "mother courage" it's sooo sad, he's only a little boy and they hurt him so much.

The final scene of American Beauty.
The final scene of Donnie Darko.
The final scene of American History X.
The final scene of Requeim for a Dream.

so many final scenes.. Tragic movies are my favorite IMO.. If you can make someone cry, you have made a truely great move.

these didn't make me cry but i choked up a bit.

Malcom X When Ossie Davis devlivers the eulogy, powerfull stuff.

The Lion King When Mufasa speaks to simba as a cloud

and this one made me cry like a little bitch

Aracnophobia When the spider goes down that perfect rack during the shower scene, no nipples, no bush. Most tragic fucking moment in film history

GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES - 1988

FORBIDDEN GAMES - 1957

MY LIFE AS A DOG - 1985

THE GRAPED OF WRATH - 1942

Of the above films I have to say that GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES not only made me cry, it made me cry HARD...it even makes me tear up just thinking about certain scenes. As Roger Ebert said of the film "GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES is an emotional experience so powerful that it forces a rethinking of animation".

The last movie to make me cry was Rudy when seeing Sean Astin run onto the field in Notre Dame stadium, make a sack, and get carried off the field.

lol....I thought I was the only one who gets teary eyed in Armageddon.

Terminator 2 when arnold is going into the lava...

Mercury Rising, when Bruce Willis talks about why he is helping a kid he doesn't even know...

Maybe it's the whole self-sacrifice thing that gets me.

Radar Love its ok I cried too at that part in ESTB

Et I'll admit it, cried like a baby, first time I saw it I was crying so bad my mom had to take me outside to calm down, granted I was 5 and the part when ET turns out to be alive my screaming and crying went to YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good Call on Good Will Hunting, that one part hit me too, Its Not Your Fault, my life didn't mirror Will's but I had alot of stuff bringing me down in life and those words actually helped me relize that its not my fault, I broke down almost at the excat same time Matt Damon does in the movie

not a movie, but there is one eposide of Fresh Prince of belair that makes me break down and cry to this day if I watch it, its the one where will's dad shows up and he gets all happy and at the end ditches him and he's upset. that one right really does mirror my life when it comes to my real father

The only movie that ever made me cry was leaving las vegas. Can't belive nobody mentioned that. That has to be my favorite movie of all time. However, I laughed at the end of titanic. God that movie sucked.

This is probably the closest I have come to crying in a movie... Very well done scene...

I cried at the end of Green Mile the book but not the movie...
