Really Nice Codeine Thread

Does anyone in the UK have a repeat codeine script? I'm going to be asking my GP for one next week.

I've been taking loperamide to try to control my j-pouch output (see the pain thread), without much success, but I've noticed that whenever I have surgery and get a couple of weeks codeine prescribed for pain, that it sorts out the output nicely. I've been taking 60mg twice a day, so I don't think this is an excessive amount. It's frustrating because I'm actually booked in to have the pouch excised in January, which is a pretty permanent surgery (end ileostomy, will wear a bag for the rest of my life); I'd accepted this inevitability, but this discovery does kinda cast some doubt on the decision.

It's quite a popular prescription for j-pouch patients in the states, but it doesn't seem like a common treatment in the UK. So what do you reckon? Do I have a chance, or am I just gonna get turned away as a drug seeker? Are there other implications beyond it being a drug of habit?
 
Yeah, I get that if I cane it, but no problem at 60 or even 90mg. I do have bladder issues with tramadol, at 100mg+ (which is what the recovery ward usually try to send me home with), which provides me with a similar amount of analgesia.
 
I don't know about your GP, but my GP pretty much doesn't see codeine as a drug of abuse.

Wow, just looked up J-pouches. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. You definitely need codeine.
 
My doc doesn't know anything about differential geometry but he still gives me codeine! Go figure!
 
My bowels in the morning are so bad, soon as i get up i gotta go straight away. damn kratom like im pissing out my arse. Problem is its a weekend so i cant promise i will stay away from pharmacies. I will try though im not craving that much atm but with the amount of kratom i have done in the last few days im not surprised. Its just daft buying more anyway so irrational given my situation im on 3rd day without, soon as i get pills my addict mind kicks back into full force. Then again id rather stare into the back of my eyes then hang around with people.
 
My bowels have ways been ok really, considering the amount of codeine I get through. Even when I went CT, I never really had any bowel troubles.
 
I went into to town to run a small errand, even on the bus i was planning to get some. I stood outside lloyds pharma for around 5 mins and decided not to bother, because its hassle from there anyway. But yeah im giving this crap up now, im on 3rd day finally got some kratom in me not a huge dose though just enough to help cos i been using too much of it. Weekends are just difficult to avoid temptation having shit weather helps though.

Really i just need to condition my mind and break the habit, im not one of them addicts that lies to myself, i sure as hell like hiding behind a drug delusion but the addiction it self is just pathetic and irritating. Its more addiction then it is me enjoying the drug these days.
 
Loperamide is always worth having a good stock of for those reasons. Its very cheap too. 86p for 6MG. I wish all opis were that cheap, i dont know about production costs but i cant think of any reason why Lope should be so cheap, whereas all other opis are very expensive.

Its obvioulsy the high demand and what punters are prepared to pay on the black market that must be causing these extreme prices and huge profit margins for any opis that can be abused. I had some pretty bad 'stomach conditions' this morning, given that i hadnt taken any kratom (or any other opis) for a couple of days for the first time in a few months. Didnt need the Lope yet as i currently definately dont feel ready to give up kratom, and am well tanked up with opis for today.

Damn i dont think i have ANY DHC left. That was bad planning, i should have kept a few incase i get hit by any w/ds that kratom cant completely eliminate. Just 1 or 2 30mg lefover pills would probably have completely eliminated any discomfort during the first couple of days. Still got a couple of blisters of 30/500 co-cos though and they may help a little bit, if necccesaary.

It should only be a very brief thing anyhow, as ive been spacing out my DHC and O-dt consumption and havent been using either of them for more than a couple of days at a time. So things shouldnt be too bad on the WD front. I now have to see how long i can go before ordering more O-dt, was planning 2 weeks or something, but i really need to make it longer than that, both for the sake of my bank balance and to try to get my tolerance down a bit.

That now puts more pressure on the temptation to use G more regularly which i know is a very bad idea, and will definately be trying very hard to avoid, (I'll try locking it away in the shed for tonight, that way it will be less immediatly available to hand, and it's time to start practicing self control with the stuff, with planning days off, and sticking to the plan, should be good for my self-esteem too) as since im not really getting much of a buzz off kratom anymore i need to start re-adjusting to sober evenings. Or, i could order a different strain of kratom, one that i have no tolerance for, and whilst im using that it'll hopefully reduce my tolerance at least a little bit to my preffered strains. That'll probably be the best solution at this time.:\

Forgotten if I've posted this already, but... I'm officially out of opies. I've only been on them for a week, so there shouldn't be any trouble, but I will miss 'em.
 
Meh no kratom, so i left work and i was like FK IT, got 1 pack of co co's. Kratom or not im still an addict, if i got kratom i dont need codiene and if i got no kratom i need co co's.
 
Been smashing the DHC 90s the last week or two. Not a big opiate fan but I've been boozing like fuk lately and well.. they've just been there like. Do nothing for me to be honest but not many opiates do. I find oxy meh. Been doing about 4-500mg every night. Gonna take a break after tonight though as the bottles near empty and questions will be asked;) I used to think it was that I wasn't beating the wax matrix but IR opiates of any kind all feel the same to me.

Oh and any fuker who can chew these is a fuking animal! They are rank. I have to bomb them in paper towel and still nearly gag if I get a wiff of them going down.
 
Has anyone ever tried the plugging method for DHC here, i read that the effects are way better then swalloing. It is rather tempting if that is the case

Aye, I've plugged dhc quite a few times. Getting it warm enough to dissolve and into the syringe to plug was an awffy carry on. First time it was a bit too warm for my botty 8( But yeh it worked and quickly. I spewed a lot less, but still did - though I'm notoriously bad for vomiting on dhc :\)

It came on very nice and quick. It was lovely apart from spending my night with my head down the lavy pan, but hey ho, there you go :D

Sorry dark side, I didn't appreciate your whole question, that's not what I read. I have no experience of oxy but I'm sure someone more versed will come along.

One last point - dhc one "melted" is fluid enough to plug but the cooler it gets the more gel like it gets and hence doesn’t work so well.
 
The thing about plugging opiates is that most users will be backed up big time which makes it near impossible for it to take. Plugging really needs your bowels to be completely empty.

When using opiates I'm lucky to have a poo twice a week if I'm lucky.
