Also people hating on alcohol... WTF you probably don't even know what drug you're on and you're hating on people for having some drinks?
I really don't see a problem with getting hammered if you're not an angry drunk. And if you are it's your fault, not the alcohols. I get hammered at most raves because I go to college 4 days a week and can't afford to be stupid for three days after.
If you're throwing up everywhere and/or fighting then you probably shouldn't get hammered. but I think people should have a problem with dealing with irresponsible people in general, not just the ones who are irresponsible with alcohol. If you are irresponsible with drugs alcohol is probably your best bet, cause if you pop like 10 pills in a night you could dehydrate easily and will probably act like a creeper; if you do too much acid good luck not getting lost in the ghetto; if you drink to much you throw up and at the very worst black out and end up in first aide puking.
Still your problem is with that individual being stupid about whatever drug he chose to take. I'd rather watch someone throwing up from alcohol than watch someone that looks like they're about to drop dead from ecstasy. Seeing people carried away on stretchers kills the vibe alot mor for me than seeing someone stumbling and puking.
When people see someone who overdid it on alcohol they think "what an ass" but when they see someone who overdid it on e they think "omg how can I help this person.". A bit hypocritical from a scene who's general consensus is that alcohol is more harmful than ecstasy. If it's that harmful then take care of the person who's puking.
And even if it's not the worse case scenario, someone who's too fucked up on e but still functional is gonna act like a creeper, someone who's too drunk is gonna be an ass. I'd rather have a person telling everyone to fuck off than a person getting way to touchy and in my personal space. I've had gay guys come up and grab me and act like I was the asshole for
threatening them, I'm sorry but that's not ok you're ruining my time. If you leave a drunk person alone or walk away then he'll probably forget about you, if you try to walk away from a person on too much e who's in love with you for no good reason he'll annoy the shit out of you.
I'm not hating on e, and I do think being too drunk is annoying. You can have a good time with both and you can kill someone elses good time with both, it's the person that's the problem not thier drug of choice
I watched someone throwing up in the garbage can from drugs, my first time on e at a rave, I rubbed her back, made sure she was ok and asked her what she took so I made sure she was going to be ok. It didn't bother me or ruin my roll because I knew I was helping.
I went to an event I think everyone was getting piped. people vomiting all over. crazy shit. was gross, the whole crowd smelled like vomit and it was just gross. .. trying to make sure you don't step in any, in the dark, you know?
I hate venues that are too stupid to stock up on water.
This was actually in the VIP section where we had all the free drinks and gatorade we wanted. Not sure if people were throwing up in GA, but yeah, that's the risk you run when you buy at raves and don't test.
I've known a lot of people who puke on the come-up too. Just happens. And once it's over they're fine and feeling goooood...
Whereas people puking from drinking usually continue to do so and are usually done for the rest of the night as far as partying goes. I don't know, drinking and rolling just seem like two completely separate beasts that don't seem to mix. Don't get me wrong, I like to drink on occasion, even get completely smashed and act like a fool, but when I'm rolling, drunk people are... annoying. They seem SO much more fucked up than I am, even if I'm rolling balls. And when I'm rolling, drama seems non-existent, whereas (at least in my life) drinking almost always brings about some kind of drama.
To put it the simplest way I know how, rolling has this calm, peaceful, loving energy about it that still has the user in control. Drunkenness has this reckless, dumb, clumsy energy that seems out of control at many times. Which is fun, when you feel like being drunk. Which isn't when I feel like rolling.
