Right, rave annoyances...

Unwanted touching! I was talking to my friend at a rave one time and some chick just ran up and started dancing with/raping me. Deeply upset me.

Also, at a show I was at the other day some guy fell onto the couch I was sitting on and kneed me in the head! It kinda made my vision fucked up a little and when I was trying to see straight again some chick kissed me! It turned out she was a friend of the guy who kneed me in the head and she was trying to apologize, weirded me out.

I guess I come across as a lesbian to some people, how strange 8)
 
What annoys me is the overpriced water. Like 7$ for small bottle of water? I understand that a party can be really packed, but is it necessary to stand in the hallways and walkways? They think so I guess. Or if they have the smoking section outside the club and you need to be searched every time you go in
 
Last night one of the biggest events of the weekend got messed up because 1-the crew throwing it used a new venue that nobody was particularly familiar with, 2-kids were being especially irresponsible with drugs taking and some dumb girl OD'd then had a seizure on the dance floor. Theeeen...the situation was handled poorly when they tried to stick her in the back of a SUV to wait on the ambulance which just flipped people out more. THEN some idiot crashed their car into 2 different cars. AAAAAAND...nobody was dancing and enjoying the inside. Everyone stayed outside and socialized. BORING.

It really bothers me when everyone is chilling around socializing instead of dancing...
 
#1 annoyance = cops!
Leave us alone. And don't kick people out when they are high. Do you WANT them driving home when they are high? Just let us be, we're not bothering anyone!

Other annoyances
- guys who don't get the point when I say "I have a boyfriend" - it happened a ridiculous amount of times the other day. I'm just dancing and having a good time ... I don't want to be hit on constantly!
- guys who don't get the point when my boyfriend says "I have a girlfriend". seriously just get the hint!
- people who try to have an intellectual conversation with me. don't expect me to remember or actually catch anything that you say!
- smoking cigarettes inside. I get that lots of people like to smoke but I don't. I wish they would just go outside ... or at least in another area to smoke
- when the security guards won't let me sit down. I like to sit down sometimes. I like to sit down when I'm tired. And I like to sit down to talk to my bf!

Mostly though I get past it. I love raves. Mmmmmm :)
 
SECURITY. they're such a buzzkill. and i work at a club and i know a lot of guys who work in security are aspiring cops and get off on busting ppl for drugs.

also hate whistles blowing in my ear.

why does that bother you? if thats how they want to spend their evening who are you to judge them? do your thing and let them do their thing. sometimes i feel like glowsticking and being active sometimes i feel like chilling and bullshitting with everyone. dont condemn them because their preferences are different than yours.

why do you go to a show if you're just going to sit down in the grass and do nothing? You go to a show to see a live performer and dance. If you don't like dancing and seeing live performers you should stay home where you and your friends can pick every song.

i go to events to glove simple as that. My house has not nearly enough bass or cops come. And my house has only so many people to give lightshows too.
I dont wanna talk to strangers, i wanna melt their face then go sit with my friends and get a massage. I havnt really cared about a line up in 7 months.
Everytime i want to see an artist i rarely do & if i do they dOnt play shit i wanna hear.
Why cant people do what they enjoy as long as it doesnt affect others?

See, this alone is another rave annoyance. A lot of people don't want their "face melted". I know a lot of people who find glovers really annoying and disruptive. When was the last time you asked someone if they wanted a lightshow before just started to get all in their face?

Define elitist for me, please. I can sorta get the picture of the type of people, but often times elitist and "shit-music hater" get rolled into one. (I am a "shit-music hater" but not an elitist.)

Well we don't have huge massives here in SD but a lot of the people that have been to one think that somehow makes them better than the people that haven't and their attitude just fucking blows.
It's why I don't go to them here anymore.
 
I do find it kind of annoying when you run into that first timer who is talking a thousand miles a minute asking you a million questions, and somehow assuming that it's your first show and first time rolling. (Albeit I was only asked if it was my first rave one time at some sketch place in brooklyn). But I agree with you that just because you go to mad shows doesn't mean you're a baller. I happen to have been to many shows and be a baller so....lol. I use my past experiences to give advice and help people out, and hate on bros.

^^yeah, i hate it when people assume that because the largest show ive been to is like 500 people, im some kind of pussy bitch...I'm sorry, but I like smaller events where I know everyone and dont have to worry about anything going wrong, or if something does, i know people have my back
