ok here is another one...

A friend sent me a postcard it had a picture of the planet Earth and it was signed 'wish you were here'. Where would here be? Outerspace or the Earth?

it's customary to credit the author when quoting material. in this case, stephen wright...

whats the deal with "slipping on a banana peel"? never heard or seen anyboby ever slip on a banana peel

I can honestly say I have done so! It is hardly as comical as what cartoons may have you believe, but it definately makes you slip for a brief moment. I liken it to stepping on a small icy patch after it has been snowing. It is very different to a wet floor at a uspermarket, or patch of oil or grease, as such substances stick to the sole of your shoe, and you will continue to slip, and most likely end up horizontal. But in most cases, a banana peel is only a sudden loss of footing, but could result in further damage and/or humiliation if you were carrying a large pyramid of delicate wine glasses.:).

Does woolite for darks substitute for detergent as well? I read the back of the bottle and it implied that but does not say exactly.

anyone use it?

Are you asking if it can be used as laundry detergent for regular clothes? Yes, most definitely. Woolite is designed to be gentle on your clothes so the worst that could happen is your regular clothing won't get as clean as you're used to (if you normally use Tide or something similar).

How is that really necessary in that instance? Maybe not everybody knows who even originated that statement? Is it patented? Sorry, I'm just confused at your post, ali.
Also, wouldn't the "here" be wherever your 'friend' was? - me baffled

My Question:
Why can't I get suction cups to stick, EVER?

^Moisten the suction cup slightly first and it will stick better.

Suction cups and the surface must be clean and dry and the surface must not be porous. They will not work properly in extreme temperatures, especially cold. The cup and surface should be at least 60F to stick properly. Cold temperatures will reduce the cups holding ability.

Suction cups can lose their shape after time and being in high heat. We had to order new ones for buzzy's radar detector because the old ones were sitting out in the heat for too long while suctioned and they became too flat.

Does anyone have some suggestions on how to unblock my ears???

I had a severe cold or flu for the last week and im just getting over it.

I dont think I have ear infections because I remember getting severe pain like knives in the ear as well as my ear being red. Right now all i have is my two ears being blocked I assume because things sound muffled and when i talk i am either whispering lower or talking louder lol.

I know when you have colds and stuff you ears can be blocked but right now my nose is not clear but not stuffy, i can still blow if i need to but i can also breathe thru it somewhat ok.

I dont have a fever. I definitely am still getting over the cold though, cuz at night i get more stuffy.

Am i going deaf, is this how it starts...all those years of electronic music banging in speakers finally affecting me :(

did you try peroxide?

If theres anything blocking your ear, that will dissolve it, aint sayin you nasty but is there a chance you aint cleaned out your ears in a while? sometimes that can happen, but theres alot of reasons.
anyways, whatever it is, theres a good chance that if you pour hydrogen peroxide in your ear and let it sit for a few minutes it tends to get that feeling away even if it aint a wax buildup, my sister used to get that all the time (the ear muffled shit) she called them 'ear bubbles."

if you been havin a cold lately, that definately can make you have a clogged up feeling ear.

You could also try going somewhere high. no not get high and go somewhere. lol. If there is any high altitude places near you, drive there and go up a mountain, your ears will "pop."

everytime i go to my boys house out in PA i gotta drive thru this national park thing to get there and its on a mountain. everytime i go, ears always pop. ESPECAILLY if i been sick.

i wouldnt worry too much if i was you, if you start feeling 100% again and like a week later its still blocked then hit up your doctor but that type of shit is just a side effect of illness and it usually goes away.....sometimes a really hot shower works for me too to get it unblocked when i aint feeling good.

god luck, that shits a pain in the ass, its so annoying you just wanna hear normal.

yea its driving me insane and has been for about 3-4 days now :( Nah i clean my ears regularly cuz im anal about that lol.

thanks :)

Don't do anything until your cold/flu passes, in order to rule it out as a cause.

Have a family physician examine your ear canals to make sure it is a wax blockage.

It sounds like a cold blockage/inflammation (not an infection), in which case it should pass on its own. Shield your ears from the cold wind.
