Don't beat yourself up over it, you helped him as much as you were able, but you did literally leave him in the proverbial, look at it this way It;s the best laugh I've had in days so you did us both a good turn=D

quite a few people had already passed him as he was bouncing off the curb, understand that some people are in a rush but its not too much trouble to push an old geezer up a curb, i couldn't pass him without helping my conscience just won't allow it.

I should have told him before pushing him into co-op that he had defecated but at the time i thought he probably knew but was just trying to stealth it.

on a bit of a guilt trip now as i could have handled the situation better but fuck it, i tried to do a good deed but my good will can only be stretched so far, and that was about the limit.

I got on the bus the other day and said to my wife "holy shit it smells like dead animals and maggots up here" and got an elbow in the ribs and a nod forward. And sat there was a woman who bore a startling resemblence to the cat lady in the simpsons. That made me feel pretty bad. I thought it was just commuter bus stink... ah well.
 
I think once he knew he had shat himself he must have known that you weren't going to honour your promise to wheel him home, you did well to last as long as you did.


On another note, has anyone else noticed that the video BB code has now been turned on, I just saw it at the bottom of the page, apparently now we can embed youtube videos in our posts, this has probably already been mentioned somewhere, it's pretty cool though, it was turned off for years, wonder why it was turned on again.

yeah, doesn't seem to work in your post, is weird how it works on the BB Code List page. It does say at the bottom of the page that it works, wonder why it doesn't work.



^that one above works on the instruction page but not here, is all a bit of an anticlimax :( was looking forward to youtube embedding, would make the what are you listening to and the youtube thread much better.

PS: It wasn't done for kicks so much as for shits and giggles...

Incidentally, I still maintain that was the Brown Note that morning. Only other possible explanation would be some kinda minor earthquake or avalanche or summat. Can't see how anything else could've set off all the car alarms in the area at the same time, brought the whole street out within minutes all looking utterly bewildered, deeply annoyed and distinctly red-faced in equal measure, cause a chain-reaction of toilet-flushing (clearly audible in the muffled silence of a snow-covered rural cul-de-sac) and have the whole street reeking of sewage moments later. Brown Note I say and will do til me dying days. Was a thing of beauty to behold I can but hope others will one day get to experience too <3

PS: I actually looked into the Brown Note thing a bit and - despite what Mythbusters said - it has been demonstrated many times before. The Mythbusters test was way off (as is often the case with their set-ups) but more competent testing has demonstrated the effect to great effect. Probably.
 
Organisational review intrigue at work this afternoon as someone from another team has sent me through their consultation document, so I've got an idea of who will be reapplying for their jobs...couple of jobs I might apply for too hah. My department gets our document tomorrow, so I might be out of a job, heyho.
 
Was sat around outside smoking with my mate, warden for our hall came out and we got talking to her. We were complaining we didn't have much booze left, she told us that there was a kitchen in one of the blocks that had a bottle of vodka in the freezer and gave us the keys to go get it. Cue a half hour scavenger hunt round every block in our hall, with us ransacking the kitchens of people who had moved out and her giving us a key to the next block when we'd done. Ended up with four variously empty bottles of vodka, some rum, bottles of wine, some frozen chicken and a box of wine.

Fucking result :D
 
I just about followed suit and shat myself laughing at that watson. I think if that happened to me I'd be thinking I was on tv or something! Sorry but that really was funny!
 
Tempted to do a big line of meph, but I reckon it'd spoil my appetite, and waste my dinner. :\

EDIT: Just read Watson's story. Don't really know if I wanna eat for a while now, anyway.

Wibz: Being out of a job is either a really, really Bad Thing (if you like your current job or are really desperate for the money and that) or a really, really Good Thing (if you hate your current job, have better prospects peeking over the horizon, or don't need the money quite as much as you do need to laze around on yer backside more). You decide ;)
 
Does someone want to explain why this was shut? Seems pretty harsh to me. Infact sorry to be brutally honest kate but I've noticed your modding and even generally when you post on here it's gone from happy and light hearted to being a bit stroppy and harsh with the mod stick.

There is no reason from what I've read here for this thread to be closed. Certainly won't be doing any of us who are heading for Ibiza any favours.
