I imagine if you want barring you need to break the rules.

You could just ignore him though. If you like some other posters and use Bluelight wouldnt it be better to keep your options open?
 
What exactly happened? You sure it's not a case of text lost in translation? And instead of getting banned why not just change yer login when yer wasted and not write it down, and do the same for yer email acct linked to it, orchange email then do it etc, dunno why you need such drastic action to stop yourself logging in :\

Hahaha, get a grip man. There's a whole internet out there, batter in. You don't need to keep coming in here to re-complain about Sam (when as far as I can see he's barely posted anything, let alone anything directed at you, in the past few days) when you could just fire on to youporn & belt the skull aff it.

Ban yourself. Stop logging on. If it's really that hard then just do as someone else suggested & change your password to something random. If you're somehow so compelled to come on BL that you need banned then surely you'd just create a new login though?
 
Yeah scrooloose, if you have a problem with Sam you don't need to make a big thing of it really. Life's too short eh?

Scrooloose, we've politely asked you to keep this abuse out of EADD but you've carried on. This is not the place for a personal vendetta. If you have a genuine concern about a moderator's actions on BL then you are welcome to address it via the proper channels (PM the mod in question, then if things are not resolved speak to the senior staff covering the forum) but this sounds more like a personal attack/general vitriol. I have no idea where it is coming from, but please stop. We left your previous posts alone but I have snipped this one, and any more will be removed too and infractions issued - we try to stay out of modding the social threads too much but this is getting out of hand... Gibberings, and EADD for that matter is no place for this. As others have said, take a step back..

There is no way to permanently delete your account - see the support FAQ here (scroll down to the bit about deleting accounts). Tried to PM you but I think you have disabled them, sorry for discussing this publically but it does need to be addressed.


Anyway :) those tattoos are amazing Marmz :D especially love the man-bra!

eh, not sure why the censoring was necessary ... s'not as far as I can see. the community can obviously see the numptiness, hence all the replies to the tune of 'get a grip'.

that could only occur because the comment was visible and people could comment. communities are normally intelligent enough to see through the kinda bullshit he was posting, and this particular case was a prime example of that. taking his comment out makes it out to be something worth hiding. a public reprimand in response to the public diatribe would keep things transparent but snipping the comments makes that uneven. really, regulars here can't get to see these things if that kind of snipping occurs.

it's totally unecessary and makes me wonder what else is deleted that's really not in violation of something relevant [like legal stuff/sourcing etc]

and to place context on the above .. it should be fairly obvious by now I'm in the 'pro Sam' camp. but I'm also in the 'pro transparency' camp too ... and believe people have minds of their own and can compute things for themselves.

^^ Marmz, abuse is against the guidelines in the same way that sourcing, SWIMming and other things are.. we left the first few alone but this isn't really something I want to just ignore now. I understand the perspective of the people who would like this forum to be unmodded apart from blatant stuff like sourcing, but that isn't the reality of Bluelight. We cater for a lot of different people in here and (I know I sound like a stuck record but it's true) we really do let a lot more things slide in EADD than elsewhere.

I left the first few posts be, asked him to stop, but he carried on so I removed them. I stand by my decision :) It creates an unpleasant atmosphere and I would hate to see EADD become something like SquatJuice. We can't just ignore someone breaking the guidelines either, whether we like it or not, but that isn't the main reason I did it - asking had not worked, so this is the next approach. If you want to know what was said, taking a look at the previous posts scroolose made in here would give you some idea..

I'm happy to talk about this with you guys but I do still think it was the right course of action. Appreciate not everyone will agree though, and that's fine ofc :) We do try to be as transparent as possible, and I'd let a few of the posts slide as I said, but there reaches a point where we need to stop it.

I'm not making it out to be a big deal. commenting on base level fundamentals and having an opinion on them does not just 'make them out to be a big deal'
