doubt it. it's not even a word or grammatically correct in any sense .. it's pissing, shortened to s'pissing

^^ Sam'll be getting all excited with this peeing convo

The apostrophe would be substituting for the I in is, or for It is, where you have placed it is just where there should be a space left.

Also, how can you shorten a word by lengthening it???????? :sus:

Hmm I have to side with mugz here. Compare with 'tis, short for it is.

'spissing
is how Shakespeare would have wrote it.

it is, shortened to it's ... shortened to s'p ... the 'it' just got made redundant ... and then s got joined with pissing, hence s'pissing.

no clue what was lengthened in the above.

and lol @ shakespeare ... unlike me, I doubt he'd be making such an abortion of 3 words in the first place

I don't know, what about 'tisn't? Did shakey use that? I imagine he did!

Kipling certainly did:

Rudyard said:
'Tisn't beauty, so to speak, nor good talk necessarily. It's just IT. Some women'll stay in a man's memory if they once walked down a street.''

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936), in "Mrs. Bathurst," Traffics and Discoveries (1904).

Believe he's talking about "IT" as in "IT girl", which you'll know all about marmz.

EDIT: Is this patter more to your liking PT?

She has shortened two words into one.

"S'pissing" would be like saying "t'internet" instead of "the internet". The apostrophe is in the right place, even though it's not a real word.

No, you are wrong, t'internet is fine because the apostrophe is where the h and the e in the word the would be but because the missing letters are before the s in s'pissing the apostrophe should be before. Basic grammar.

If scrooloose should be pursuing their question via PM, no-one has told them until now! Either way I think communication breakdown summarises the interaction quite well, probably from all angles.

Erm... but seeing as there were none of scroolose's posts removed in the first place, I really think 'total misunderstanding' is a far better summary. On your part as well as scroolose's. ;)

Anyway, moving on...

I disagree - Scrooloose just wanted to know if that was the case (if posts had been removed). You've finally answered the question though! Answer being: no.

Mugz -I'd rather not.

Knock - I answered the question some time ago as it happens: try post #264. Though if you were preoccupied with responding to Mugz' explanation of the standard procedures for pursuing complaints of the kind put forward by scrooloose then I suppose you may have glossed over it.

Undercooked sausages last night, spent entire morning wrapped around the toilet.
