Zolpidem is very, very compelling when it comes to making you sleep. I think it's more expensive than zopiclone but I don't know how the two compare. Side effects can include sleep driving (seriously) and reckless sexual behaviour, along with total amnesia. Doubtless a scapegoat for all kinds of shit in American courtrooms.

ahh wicked man! well glad ya got some time off :D

yeah i think if your boss is being awkward and saying your whinging just go over his head, get the cunt the sack, you shouldnt be made to feel like its your fault because you've got mobility issues, wanker!

anyway, blast this in your ears :D

I just read the wiki article on zolpidem and it's a fucking weird drug.

It's an imitation-benzo that will send you sleep no matter what dose it seems, however in higher doses, if you fight the sleep, you trip your balls off.

Also a popular date-rape drug, apparently, although I hate that term. The 'date rape drug' is alcohol. Other drugs claimed as such are rare cases.

Told my boss that due to the results of my x-rays and advice from consultant on Monday I'd have to be a bit careful, and *might* not manage to complete the delivery.

He told me "You WILL finish, I'm not having you pissing me around again.."

Cheeky fucking cunts...they think I am a "whinger" depite only having one day off with hip pain in 8 years (apart from surgical procedures/recoveries)

I don't want to walk on my hip any more than I have to, any movement is just grinding metal ions and even shrapnel against my bones, and eating away at my pelvis and femoral head.

Work can get to fuck, I'm going doc's this morning to get signed off until test results are all in, and some course of action has been decided (a date set to remove the toxic metal from me).

That's nuts. Does he know the ins and outs of it? Or as much as you've posted here at least? If he does he's a wanker. Definately did the best thing getting signed off, not worth taking any risks to help out pricks like that. What's he saying now your signed off? I think I'd almost have to set the record straight with that and explain to him that your not just wanting a day off as it sounds like he is accussing you.

As for zolpidem, I've had them before, my old benzo source used to always chuck in a strip. I'm pretty surprised your not getting to sleep on them tbh. It was the only thing that would ever put me to sleep after MDPV, even valium and temazepam combined wasn't as effective.

Sounds a bit ridiculous they only gave you codeine aswell. Anytime I've ever injured myself it's DHC 30's I've been given which do actually help the pain.

Getting only cocodomol seems a bit naff. How much pain are you in? My friend gets DHC and codeine prescribed for migraines. I don't see how malfunctioning hips fall below migraines on the pain scale.

Just cwe that shit like a boss ;)

@ptch Yeah Zolpidem is Ambien, it can be fairly lolnacious as this excerpt from an erowid trip report shows:

'This is where it all went very wrong indeed! I closed my eyes, and in what seemed like an instant, I opened them and was somewhere else. I thought I must be still dreaming because I was in my car near the highway on-ramp, parked sideways in the middle of the road, and this tall blonde woman was by my window screaming at me: what are you doing on the road!! You shouldn't be driving!!! I remember thinking: what a weird dream. And I nodded back off again.

I opened my eyes again and I was on the Narrow's bridge, which is about 50km from my last position at the on-ramp. I was stopped, but my car's front end was mashed into the rear end of the car in front. Not major damage, but serious enough. People were surrounding my car absolutely screaming their heads off at me. And I thought: Hmmm what a weird dream. And I nodded off again. Then I woke up in a police car, a little more back to reality, looked around and said 'What the hell am I doing here?' The police were actually quite friendly and told me everything. It still felt like a dream, but I was more alert and decided to do a reality check. '

^ Ambien is also responsible for the greatest thread ever made in bluelight history.

O man fuck ambien... They gave it to me in hospital with some healthy shots of morphine and it brought on the most intense and realistic trip of my life. I assumed it was benzo like in that if I fought the sleep I'd feel awesome and like I was being cuddled, but really it's pure sedative with zero recreational value. After about an hour of dosing I buzzed the nurse and got another shot of morphine. She left and 10 minutes later I looked at the ceiling and I was in a vortex, very much like in the old alice in wonderland cartoon film (if I remember rightly, maybe more like the wizard of oz?). The spinning didn't stop and I just got sucked deeper and deeper until I had no peripheral vision and I was no longer in this hospital. I had been reduced to a pin sized dot and couldn't get big again. Then I passed out and woke up when the nurse switched the lights on 6 hours later. I told the nurse the next day and she looked at me like I was insane, and until now I thought I was bullshitting myself!!

I must say other benzos are way better. The hangover from the z's is more of a fucked and confused hangover.

Morning all,

I've had a flurry of deliveries following an ebay binge. The latest arrived this morning - Battlefield 3. Chuffed! I miss this game! I also recieved a laser pen, so I can play with my cat..

Gym later for a run.

Aha it wasn't a face off operation, merely a scalp slide back and skull drill thing. As far as surgery goes, that's as easy as it gets.

It's not much fun recreationally although that didn't stop me having a few goes on it. Common themes were winking / smiling / word-mouthing photos around the room and the strong, strong sensation that there were other people around, but only when you took your mind off them. So I'd focus on the laptop for a moment, think there were other people in the room, look up... ah, no people, look down, the impression of people being there returns, almost like a switch being flicked.

They're not actually benzos by the way, but the infinitely less catchy imidazopyridines, apparently. Imidazos? Immies? Subjectively I've always felt with benzos that my eyelids are getting heavier and heavier and that a warm sensation is spreading down from my head- with zolpidem it's more like something rising out of the body. This doesn't appear to make much sense but it's how it always felt to me.

He is meant to be a smoking cool cat gif, but gifs don't work for me for some reason?

I know they aren't benzos, I thought they would be like them given that they had been given in place of benzos :( With benzos the warmth seemed to spread down from my head through my spine, and my skin would feel like it has an extra layer. Z's on the other hand were almost cold, with only a weak inner sort of warmth that bubbles up in a way that I find no compulsion to repeat. Overall they are pretty much like OTC sominex shite than benzos.

I got given a shot of morphine when I broke my hand last year, needed operated on, I can honestly say even though it knocked me out it was bliss. Best sleep ever.

Zolpidem did used to put me to sleep after a stim binge, usually eat a few blues have a drink and then wait a while eat some zolpidem. I never experianced the trippy feeling or any discomfort from it though, maybe the blues.

Mornernoon people :) slept right through from 4am until about 15 minute ago, didn't expect to sleep that long but I feel good for getting some sleep in me.

Your boss does sound like a complete wanker MM, glad your doctor signed you off.

Ha! I used to have one of them, it was a family hand me down from I don't know who, and Zebedee was stuck inside and impossible to get out.
