EDIT: its time i stop smoking this afghan black by the work laptop, its got 6 oles in the keys now, i forgot this stuff smouldered like incense even when ya think its extinguished :X
 
it could be aseperation thing, he's used to me only working 3 days a week, and often one of them was a sturday so me wife and son were with him..

I've just started working 5 days in the last few weeks, might be just sad he not got so much company now he's spending 4 days a week on his own instead of 2.

think youve hit the nail on the head, maybe encourage yer missus n son to take him out for a nice long stroll weather permitting?

wait, its a school week n i guess yer wifes at work?

Might be worth finding a decent kennels that look after em proper for one day a week so he isn't alone completely?

Yeah my discs are encroaching on my spinal cord and causing heaps of fucked up nerve damage.

Pleaaaase girl, you can throw one to Australia though. That ain't in the states ;).
 
they do...but she works full time and son at school, he's on his own, not just away from me for 4 days now, instead of 2 day.

well im sure there are farms nearby that take in dogs for a day or 2 if the owners are off on hols, plenty of space to run about it etc, might be worth thinkin bout
 
^no, that seems exceessive..it's 4 days a week, he's on his own from 9am till about 1.30-2.30ish, and often, like today, I'll pop in for a cuppa on me round...I think he's jst gonna have to learn to get used to it, I don't THINK that we're leaving him alone for too long at a tim, and as long as I take him for a decent walk, and he gets lots of fuss and playing with me son at home in the afternoons too, he should learn to cope.
 
I think the trauma of being taken away from home and left somewhere strange would just induce further anxiety anyhow.

Ahh yes i forgot that you popped in daily, ahh well as long as he gets his attention he will learn, might take some time but they aint dumb creatures :)
