Random MSN Gibberings LXXVII: If that's a come-on then I'm unimpressed

Today shall be a good day. Up early, had some scran, gonna get a wee joint skinned in a minute. The only problem is I'm pretty much out of weed, resorted to some old bushweed that's been in the back of a drawer with the kief shit from the bottom of my grinder mixed in.

Should be receiving an early morning weed delivery in the next few hours if my boy 'dem gets his arse in gear. Only getting a couple g's as it's expensive but should be dynamite gear & enough to last me the weekend.

I really need to get another oz in.

Just started reading Kill Your Friends by John Niven. Fucking quality book already.

Any book that starts with this HST quote has to be a winner.

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There is also a negative side"

Edit - This just showed up on my Facebook. A Soma Records photo from 1994. Featuring, amongst others, a young Daft Punk chilling in Glasgow lol.

That quote is a fucking gem and completely true. It has been constantly on my mind during some business dealings over the last couple of months.

If you've been doing anything music industry related I could not recommend this book highly enough. I got it for a couple of quid off eBay. I'll quote a wee bit from the back.

"It's not dog-eat-dog around here... It's dog-gang-rapes-dog-then-tortures-him-for-five-days-before-burying-him-alive-and-taking-out-every-motherfucker-the-dog-has-ever-known." - Meet Steven Stelfox

It's about this A&R guy Steven Stelfox, written from his first person perspective. It's fictional (probably highly based on truth though) but the majority of the people/record labels/award shows etc mentioned in it are all real. Set in about 1997, Brit-Pop era 90's.

Nice one mate, that's coming via Amazon right now. It's something I've been recommended before but the right combination of recent recommendation, money in bank account and actually being online at the time has never come about. Looking forward to it, sounds brilliant!

I can't get enough of my kindle. I really do miss the feel of a real book though, and having a shelf to look at.

I think there is a lot to be said about looking at shelves. Too many people are unaware of just what they are missing out on.

home from work early as i was feeling rough as fook, fairies came with goodies, im now sat with more smokables then ive had all month, debating what to try first, some malana cream or rasol charas, both look and smell amazing, got a big spliff of pollen rolled too, time to open a beer and destroy myself =D

anyone here who's sold gig tickets before, know the name of the site that the main vendors like see tickets/ticket master were meant to be okay with? (in terms of reselling tickets). think they were meant to be involved with it actually. is it Scarlet Mist or is there another one?

viagogo drive me nuts. getting them to add a gig or actually talking to their CS is impossible. I hate low service operators like that

max reminds me of phil M ( i dont know why max because you look like mm)
Can honestly say that I look like neither of them. Just always loved Marilyn ever since I was a kid and saw some sexy photos of her in one of my dads books.
It was either look at Marilyn or the underwear pages in the Littlewoods catalogue.
